"F--- Bush" Editorial Lands College Paper In Hot Water

First Posted: 03/28/08 03:45 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 01:15 PM ET

Fort Collins Coloradoan:

A four-word editorial published in the student newspaper at Colorado State University has landed the paper's student man-agers in hot water with campus administrators.

The Rocky Mountain Collegian on Friday published an editorial that reads, in total, "Taser this... F--- BUSH," spelling out the expletive, along with an explanation that "this column represents the views of the Collegian's editorial board."

Silliness, here's the real media story, and just another example of the New York Times dishonesty, and left wing bias.

WOOHOOO!
Good for him.
It looks like a real journalist is busy being born while most of the others are busy dying.

I'm calling the school and registering my support and also going to try to buy a copy or that paper.

It is historic! Someone finally said it out loud and in writing.
Luckily they can't throw his career down the toilet after 40 plus years.

Rock on you guys!
show us how it is done!

Left/right/whatever, there's always going to be different views, but if you're going to go around calling it 'democracy', then that implies free speech, staged or otherwise, and if we had to listen to 6-7 years of Limbaugh with his 'america held hostage' crap, then others should be allowed to speak in the interest of 'equal time'.

Now, I'm not sure of the merit of saying
something during or even, for that matter,
attending a 'waffles' Kerry rally, I guess he
means well, but once you thumb your nose at
the military-industrial thingjobber, well,
people are going to kind of remember it,
and that sort of lays out the first plank in
your platform, right there. Sure, it was
30 years ago that he did it, and he's tried
to talk himself away from it, but what's done
is done, and I don't judge him right or wrong
for it, but I would say that I think that his
stance on the war has been kind of murky, you
don't think of him and say "Hey, this guy is
very clearly against the war, if I don't support the war then I should vote for this guy, because I know he'll work day and night
toward ending it", or words to that general effect, anyway. But, nonetheless, the guy
that said 'impeach' in a crowded room didn't
really deserve to get zapped, I guess zapped is better than capped, though, harkening back to
similar history at Kent State, and a lot of
people have gotten emotional about the whole war thing, which is probably also a mistake,
when you're all worked up, you make bad decisions etc.

All in all, it's high stupidity, makes you
wish they studied less political science and more ACTUAL science at college...maybe we'd
have cars that ran on recycled Kennedy speeches or something, and no one would care about oil
anymore=end of the whole tired stupid story...

US Troops say, "F*ck Bush" every day they're over there being maimed and killed in Bush-Cheney's FOR PROFIT WAR. The paper's only repeating this.

No more money for BUSH-CHENEY to distribute to their WAR-PROFITEERS --"corporate welfare queens" pals-- for Big Oil to capture all Middle East oil fields and have a monopoly to over-charge USTaxpayers by the bizillions.

No more USTaxpayer money to no-bid corrupt war contractors, private militia contractors, and Bush-Cheney republican contributors who profiteer over the maimed and dead bodies of USTroops and Iraqis.

Enough of this disaster.

I truly can relate to this one:A few months ago I was pulled over here in Bristol Tn. where I live, for my 6"x8" bumper sticker that says "FUCK BUSH".
I've had the sticker on my car for over 2 years, plus,I've had police pull up behind me from Virginia State Police to Knoxville,Tn. city police where my younger brother lives.NOT ONE COP EVER PULLED ME OVER!
Well, this one must of thought he was "Serpico" or something.I asked him how he was diffrent from all the other cops who went on with their duty "fighting crime".He said they[other police]"weren't doing their jobs",but he was going to.
I refused to sign the ticket for "obscene sticker" and tore it up(in front of him)and tossed it in my car.
I went straight home and typed two letters one to the city telling them that "I would not be paying this ticket,it violates my civil liberties namely my FREEDOM OF SPEECH,RIGHT TO DISSENT AND FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION".
My second letter was to the ACLU,They were very interested in my case and said they would be glad to help me.
The City of Bristol Tn. decided to drop it without ACLU intervention,no record of the ticket exsist.
The ACLU "checks in" every now and again to see if things are alright and they[the city]hasn't pulled my drivers licence. They told me"they've got my back" if I need them...thanks ACLU! posted 09/24/2007 at 00:24:22 STOP CENSORSHIP!!

I wonder if there'd be this much fuss if it happened, in say, a (Western) country OUTSIDE the US.

Or on HBO.
