The New York Times:

Walid Jawad was tired of all the chatter on Middle Eastern blogs and Internet forums in praise of gory attacks carried out by the "noble resistance" in Iraq.

So Mr. Jawad, one of two Arabic-speaking members of what the State Department called its Digital Outreach Team, posted his own question: Why was it that many in the Arab world quickly condemned civilian Palestinian deaths but were mute about the endless killing of women and children by suicide bombers in Iraq?

===

The real question is, are they wearing vinyl or rubber when they reach out with those digits?

Oh...and what about lube? Are they gooping up with the KY? the Vaseline? Or are they going hi-tech with the ANAL-EZE?

Youth wants to know, otay?

I hope we hire some people to work Muslims sites. considering how many cyber Jihadists and terror apologists posting here in US.
Most of them prefer to post on sites for middle-of-the road liberals like Huffpo.
Cyber jihadists don't do the hick right wing sitesbecause they will be eaten alive there.
While here at Hufpo cyber jihadists enjoy a warm and friendly environment.

We need to be the America the whole world hopes we are,
not the one that globalist corporations would have US be.
First, we must win our own country back!!!!
Then, the hearts and minds elsewhere.

This is nothing new, now the U.S. is trying to spin the bad news away like Israel is:

Israel backed by army of cyber-soldiers
From Yonit Farago in Jerusalem

WHILE Israel fights Hezbollah with tanks and aircraft, its supporters are campaigning on the internet.
Israel’s Government has thrown its weight behind efforts by supporters to counter what it believes to be negative bias and a tide of pro-Arab propaganda. The Foreign Ministry has ordered trainee diplomats to track websites and chatrooms so that networks of US and European groups with hundreds of thousands of Jewish activists can place supportive messages.

In the past week nearly 5,000 members of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) have downloaded special “megaphone” software that alerts them to anti-Israeli chatrooms or internet polls to enable them to post contrary viewpoints. A student team in Jerusalem combs the web in a host of different languages to flag the sites so that those who have signed up can influence an opinion survey or the course of a debate.

Jonny Cline, of the international student group, said that Jewish students and youth groups with their understanding of the web environment were ideally placed to present another side to the debate.

“We’re saying to these people that if Israel is being bashed, don’t ignore it, change it,” Mr Cline said. “A poll like CNN’s takes just a few seconds to vote in, but if thousands take part the outcome will be changed. What’s vital is that the international face of the conflict is balanced.”

Take your vile anti-Semitism back to David Duke's website, where is will be welcomed.

Your kind of hatred has no place here.

Certainly, we should hope for the Muslim world to find their own way past violence but all our imperialism in the past and today's Crusade for Muslim Resources give the bad guys far too much ammunition.

Before we can hope to see Muslim moderates win 'the battle for hearts and minds' we should fix our own ways and stop killing them!!! This cultural and resource struggle will go on for decades if we allow our government to be run by the corporatists.

If we have to pay people to counter what others are doing for free, we stand no chance of winning "hearts and minds".

Paying Bloggers is not new nor unique to the Government.

Blogging is new form of communicating ideas. Why should the Gov't be limited from communicating in a new way?

I think it's smart.

Take it from me, you can learn a lot by communicating with people who have different ideas, even when they are a bunch of rude m'fers at times.

Jihadists publish cyber security magazine
Islamic jihadists have started publishing a computer security e-magazine called Technical Mujahid.

"Technical Mujahid," a 64-page electronic magazine began circulating last week on jihadist discussion forums, said Adam Raisman, an analyst with the SITE (Search for International Terrorist Entities) Institute, a terrorist tracking organization.

The magazine's editors say their publication comes in response to a call for technical support from Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, who is reportedly al-Qaeda's leader in Iraq.

Their purpose is "to help prevent acts of aggression against Muslims [in cyberspace], and to assist the mujahideen in their efforts," according to a translation provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

"The Internet provides a golden opportunity... for the mujahideen to break the siege placed upon them by the media of the Crusaders and their followers in the Muslim countries, and to use [the Internet] for [the sake of] jihad and the victory of the faith," the translation states.

Like early hacking magazines, Technical Mujahid takes information that has already been published in discussion forums and Web sites and compiles it into one single source, Raisman said. It represents an evolution in the jihadist's documentation of computer security information, he added. "It's interesting to see it in a magazine format, where everything is all included."

Future issues will cover topics such as concealing one's identity on the Internet and how to set up a jihadi Web site, he said.
