A big-mouthed extra working on the new "Indiana Jones" flick has blown his fledgling movie career to smithereens by spilling the film's major plot points.

Director Steven Spielberg and producer George Lucas made the entire cast and crew of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" sign nondisclosure agreements. But Tyler Nelson - cast as a "dancing Russian soldier" - gave an interview to his hometown newspaper, the Edmond Sun in Oklahoma, in which he revealed that:

* Indy, played once again by Harrison Ford, and the Soviet army are both searching for a priceless skull made of crystal in the jungles of South America.

That cinches it. I won't be seeing Indy 4 now that the trailers have been spoiled for me.

Who really cares what you know before you see the real movie.? Spielberg, doesn't have to worry, I've seen Indiana's movies over and over again and each time enjoy them more. A little controversy will help not hurt the movie..I can't wait now..didn't even know I had one to look forward too..thanks whoever...

I don't see it as a spoiler either. We know how Indy movies all turn out. Indy searches for a secret whatever, he runs into bad guys, they chase him and then catch him, he gets away and then gets the object in the nick of tiem. He wins, the bad guys lose, and all we want to see is how it is all done.

So big deal.

BUT the guy did screw up and he is not going to work in any movie in the foreseeable future I would bet. In fact I would bet the farm on it.

I have to agree with some of the other comments. This really isn't a spoiler. You'll pretty much get a plot summary when you see the first full length trailer. I just find it humorous that this guy from Oklahoma would be so stupid to cross Mr. Spielberg's lawyers. LOL I guess he doesn't have much to lose and doesn't care about a career in film. Or maybe he thought he could get a reality show out of the whole thing. LOL

I haven't seen it yet.
I look forward to it. Enjoyed the others.
Don't expect ever to see Mr. Nelson on the big screen.

He's not so dumb. I never would have heard the name Tyler Nelson but for this article.
It's only Hollywood, and therefore not so relevant, but I think the world will be a better place when there are more whistle-blowers.

Um,okay.

I won't go see it.

I wasn't going to waste my money on it anyhow.

Jodie Foster watching paint dry would make a better movie than this tired old crap.

Picture the spin happening here. The studio say, he signed a non-disclosure agreement. How much do we sue him for? Various industry pundits say, you'll never work in this town again. This guy gets an agent, makes the jump from extra to actor. And goes onto a long career. Can you guess how many other SAG members would KILL for exposure like this?

Two brilliant movie makers Spielberg and Lucas are finally losing it!
'Star Wars' ( the first one ) took great courage/risk to make. Lucas didn't know what would happen to it at the time. 'ET' was also a great risk and Spielberg had to use 'reeses pieces' instead of 'M@M's'(the makers of 'M@M's' didn't want the association with an ET )
Now we have them collaborating on a tired old formula that worked then but not now! Come on guys you are better than that or are you just getting lazy in your old ages?

It's an Indiana Jones movie starring Harrison Ford, Directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by George Lucas... I think most of us know exactly how the movie will go (Indy and bad guy go after same thing.. Indy will have some sort of interaction with an insipid female and an exciting enemy female.. Indy has to escape many bad guys and situations.. Indy will get another chance to "hate snakes") and we'll happily go and see it anyway.

and this is a spoiler how???

Those plots are all very simple: Indy goes looking, Indy finds something, Indy loses it to bad guys, Indy gets in back, just in time for the movie to end.

People, what he finds is not important... staging the big final chase sequence is. If you don't have a clue as to what that scene will be, nothing is spoiled.

Sheesh!!

Exactly. Sounds just like "Lost Ark", but instead of Nazis we have Soviets. Yawn...

If anyone couldn't tell by the last three Star Wars movies, Lucas is a hack with no writing skills whatsoever...or directing skills for that matter.

You statements are matters of opinion and most would disagree with you. Some would argue that JK Rollings is a hack and is not comparable to JRR Tolkien. That too is opinion. Lucas and Rollings have each made more than a billion dollars on their writings, which suggests many people enjoy their stories. The fact these people are so widely enjoyed across cultures and societies "obviously" negates your first comment.

In 100 years society will have a better idea of who was a great writer, who was merely adequate and who was completely forgettable.

He didn't spoil anything, he summarized the plot. People are more enraged about this than the lack of national health care, the Iraq war, the impending collapse of the US economy, Peak Oil, Global Warming, etc....

I guess we deserve extinction.

no, you're just on the wrong thread. jesus, we get so sick of posts like this one. You clicked on it, right? So, for at least a split second, YOUR mind wandered from all those issues that cloud it. There's no reason to believe anyone is enraged by this, let alone MORE enraged than they are about real issues. Nice "I'm so good" post though, really.

Your mixing apples and oranges. People are outraged by lack of healthcare and the majority have said in numerous polls they would be willing to pay extra taxes for universal care. It is possible for people to feel outrage over many things and who are you to publicly assess degrees of outrage expressed by anyone on this blog? By all means, express your opinion but you have no right put words or thoughts into the mouths and minds of others.

Whether or not Nelson spoiled the movie's plot is irrelevant. Nelson violated the terms o f his contract and the kid deserves whatever happens to him as a consequence.
