On the Senate floor today, Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) made an impassioned appeal to his fellow senators, declaring that the Lieberman-Kyl amendment on Iran should be "withdrawn" because the "proposal is Dick Cheney's fondest pipe dream." Webb cautioned that the "cleverly-worded sense of the Congress" could be "interpreted" to "declare war" on Iran. He continued:

Those who regret their vote five years ago to authorize military action in Iraq should think hard before supporting this approach. Because, in my view, it has the same potential to do harm where many are seeking to do good.

Has the Land of Oz folks in Washington
ie the President behind the curtain (don't
pay attention to him) occupying a Presidential
seat without a brain, a foreign policy without
a heart and a Cowardly democratic Congress
ever figure out where the fresh troops are going
to come from in case of retaliation and full
scale war as a result?
When we were kids, many smaller boys would
beat on big bullies.

I am from Virginia, and I think we finally have a US Senator.

I hear Hillary Clinton voted for the Lieberman admendment. Will the press report that? Will she admit that she voted for it in tonight's debate? Will the moderator even know about it? I hope they at least give Senator Biden his due time for his success in getting a by-partisan "non-binding" resolution passed today in the Senate that calls for dividing Iraq up into 3 provinces.

Where does this relentless campaign against Iran emanate from? The White House, of course. If that's true, then ask yourself (a) "When has George Bush ever told the truth about anything?" and (b) When has George Bush ever been right about anything in the middle east?" Is there then any reason at all to believe him now? Particularly after Iraq? Of course not. How could anyone even remotely consider going to war AGAIN on the say so of this group of people? Completely ridiculous to even consider it.

Maybe when Bush bombs Iran Pelosi will consider IMPEACHMENT....at least we can hope!

It is most likely that someone who is NOT as incendiary as CINDY will run for Ms. Pelosi's seat....perhaps s returning female soldier might be a wise choice....that would keep us out of Iran for sure and be the experienced voice rather than a shrill or shaky voice...

America: Never talk about progress, intelligence, great country, etc. with me again, of course I've been mighty suspicious most of my life. Case closed. Thank you Jim Webb, for what it is worth. I'm watching like I've never watched before. Lining up black sportsmen for prosecution, dollar falling by the minute, crime rising daily, Fox news discussing race,(Shawn Hannity, right this minute) Dan Abrams talking about sex, war after war, after, WTF? And Hillary needs to go home and shut........

The announcement of the unanimous passage of Senator Lieberman's amendment:

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Senate voted 97-0 today to approve an amendment introduced by Senator Joseph Lieberman (ID-CT), confronting the Islamic Republic of Iran over its proxy attacks on American soldiers in Iraq.

"Today's unanimous vote sends a strong, clear message from the entire Senate to the Iranians that we know what they are doing in Iraq, and they must stop," said Senator Lieberman. "This is a warning to the Iranians that whatever differences divide us politically here in Washington, we stand united against these outrageous attacks."

There were obviously many insightful Germans who could see what was happening in their country as the Nazis solidified their hold and began their moves. Inge Scholl's "Die Weisse Rose" tells the true story of a group of university students who tried to allert their countrymen to their situation. The most pathetic parts were the reactions of their families who refused to see. They couldn't believe that their Leader was evil.
The students were like many, ineffectual. But they deserve honor for trying. Of course, they died for that.
Today, there are still too many who cannot believe that Bush is as evil as he is. Moreover, under the spell of rotten religion, many otherwise ordinary people are blind to the evil that is Israel.
So today, I am beginning to understand how those Germans who understood what was happening and where it was leading must have felt.
Will BushZionists get the waar they want?
Because of the density of Amurrikin skulls, ikt looks mightily like it.
I hold my contrymen in contempt for allowing the vile things that have already been done in our names. If they refuse to be awakened now, there will be no feeling in me for them but disgust.

But some expect help from the DemZionists! Ha!
Well, this is their last chance.

Good luck Sen Webb getting these idiots to listen. I would say after all that has come out about their voting this past week, it's a lost cause. Too bad.... just call them sheep, follow the leader.

It is foolhardy and supremely arrogant to assume that attacking Iran will not have consequences. That it will not be seen as what it is: an act of war, without provocation and without excuse.

Sometime, somehow, the United States Congress must regain its senses, before the entire Republic is lost.

Never Forget: Cheney is the Neo-Con Chicken Hawk Poster Boy.

Dick 'less' Cheney supported the Vietnam War in his youth yet when asked to serve in the military and fight in that war, cried like a PUSSY and asked for and received Five Draft Deferments.

What a PUSSY!!

Where are all those would be presidents?
Why aren't they calling Kyl and Lierberman traitors?
why couldn't at least one of them have asked the House to impeach?
If the candidates for president are not raising holy hell about this treachery, I don't want to see or hear from him (or HER Zionistship!)

Let me tell you something about Senator Webb. He's a Marine Corp Vietnam Veteran late of Annapolis. So he might be too close to the forest to see the tree, which in this case is Iran. Now Cheney got himself six deferments during the Vietnam war. You might not think much of that - heck, some of you traitors may think he's pure bred wussy - but look at it this way, if, after dodging the Vietnam War Dick Cheney now wants to go to war, well, then, maybe he's onto something this time. Cheney's no dummy. Him and Lieberman, and maybe even the boy, Dubya, know some mistakes were made in Iraq, but they also know that the best way to avoid the same mistakes in the future is to - how did Bush put it: "Won't git fooled again!"

Now, of the four, you know what you're getting: On the right, Cheney, Lieberman, and the boy, Dubya; on the center left, Webb.

Now who do you think has your best interest at heart? When you ponder this question, don't forget that Cheney's a grandfather...

The American people and Congress have allowed insane-Bush to destroy the reputation of the USA in becoming the world's ignorant bully...insane-Bush is an embarrassment on a global scale!

If we allow Bush's insanity and ignorance to attack Iran or Syria, possibly starting a Middle Eastern war, and maybe even WWIII, then the USA has no future among civilized and advancing nations!!!!!!!!!

Well, Senator Webb, the way Ms Pelosi was stumbling all over herself on CNN when asked why she just can't pull the pursestrings on the Iraq war and how those "big bad senators" were keeping the legislation to end the war from getting that "magic 60" vote.....you gots your work cut out for you - LEADERSHIPwise.

She's mine...California, that is....and boy, I am not a happy camper.

I too saw Pelosi on CNN with Wolfie today lamely trying to sell the DLC talking point that "Republican Senators own the war" as if repeating this mantra will make it so.

She stumbled and fumble her way through the entire interview showing guts ONLY when she again rejected impeachment for our war criminals.

Go Cindy!!!

PS good effort by Webb on this issue. Why the hell was he one of 22 Democratic Senators that sided with fascist Republicans last we by voting to condemn MoveOn for their anti-war ad?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:47 PM on 09/25/2007

Yeah, Nancy was again asked about impeachment. Again she said it was not on the table. I say get rid of her and have someone with the guts to put it back on the table!!!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:46 PM on 09/25/2007

Indeed, "Go Cindy!" far, far away.

She has no chance of getting elected. None. she is consitutionally qualified but otherwise has no experience in government or leadership beyond shrill exploitation.

Impeachment is risible at this late date. Its proponents are among the most clueless people in America, for the very simple reason that they do not get presidential succession.
