Dionne Warwick appeared on "Today" Wednesday morning to sing "I Say A Little Prayer" for the winning couple of the show's annual wedding contest. Jessica Mapel and Cody Helgeson of Mesa, Arizona won an all-expenses paid dream wedding, including free rings, clothes, ceremony, and honeymoon. The amazing deal is not without a few catches, though. The wedding will be televised, of course. And before the big event, which takes place this Friday, the couple has to endure embarrassing moments like this one.

Watch in uncomfortable agony as the soon-to-be newlyweds gaze lovingly into each other's eyes, bob and sway like Ward and June Cleaver, and attempt to sing along to the familiar tune. Even the cameraman gets in on the cringe-inducing action with a little hip-shaking display that may just land him a spot on the new hit television show "So You Think You Can Set White People Back 50 Years". Watch the clip from NBC.

If happy young couples in love offend the author, he should just watch something else in his bitter, dreary loneliness. If he sees such a couple walking arm in arm on the street, he can always look away. As for Dionne Warwick, yes she is a senior citizen but looks and sounds pretty good still. Someday, the author will be a senior citizen and I hope he has as much grace as Dionne has. As for her upbeat music, well, if you're a jaded cynic and pessimist who mocks anyone who's happy, you can always listen to some of that rap music where they celebrate violence, killing, rape and drug use. Good luck.

There's nothing wrong with those 2 people. They were in an awkward situation and did the best they could. So what if they are schmaltzier than you might be, and so what if the whole thing makes many people gag.

The only thing wrong with any of it is the comment by "Tator", who can't go more than a few seconds without upchucking some lame dig at "Liberals" (thanks at least for the capilization). Click on "See profile" and you'll see the word Liberal all over his many wingnut posts - like lifeboats he can't seem to figure out how to sink.

This reveals Liberals jealousy of people that are just happy and in love. Lets face it Liberals go through life pissed about everything and look at the world through doom and gloom glasses. No wonder far more Liberals need shrinks than non-Liberals.

Get over it Liberals, there really are a lot of people that get up every day and they are thankful to be born in America and they are happy in what they do in their lives.

The best thing you can do for everyone is go find a piece of land and start a new country call it Doom&Gloomland. And leave the rest of us normal happy folks alone.

Oh for God's sake, does everything have to be about liberals? What's this got to do with politics? And how would you know that liberals need more shrinks? I've already got a piece of land, and I've already got a country. The only thing "this reveals" is your obsession with liberals. Get over it.

Yeah, put a sock in it, haters, they're adorable! And please tell me why anybody in their 20's should know the words to that ancient song, "sung" by the equally ancient Dionne Warwick (if she's not lipsyncing -- anyway her accompaniment is canned.)

I wrote and told them a while ago that I do not watch the show anymore. I told them they need some new segments. Drop the old stuff, like giving weddings for a couple who look like their parents could well afford to pay for it. I said "Go and interview some of the couples from the last few years. How many are still together?" Give weddings for servicemen coming home from Iraq. Leann Rhimes gave one couple a new SUV, loaded with baby items. He was just home from Iraq, missing a hand. They had one child and another on the way.

She's a little hottie. More fine young republicans. Ship his ass to Iraq right after the honeymoon...and we'll take care of the missus for ya hoss.

Actually, I think Waldo's "So You Think You Can Set White People Back 50 Years," was a laugh "f"ing riot! Having said that, Matt Lauer's been doing that on a daily basis since he first showed up on the scene.

It was cute. They're cute. The song was great, and their smiles were beaming. What's the problem? Give'em a break. They're young; they're in love, and they just won an all-expense paid wedding. The camera-man's jig was just fine, but he looked like he was in his boxers! ha!

The Tennessean is spot on!!! They were adorable! Hell I'd probably look goofy if the legendary Dione Warwick was singing for me an my wife!
It was a nice
All-American moment.

Gee, would it still have been an All-American moment if their skin was (gasp)...a little darker?
