Al Gore Likely To Get Nobel Prize

Reuters:

Former Vice President Al Gore and other campaigners against climate change lead experts' choices for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, an award once reserved for statesmen, peacemakers and human rights activists.

If a campaigner against global warming carries off the high world accolade later this month, it will accentuate a shift to reward work outside traditional peacekeeping and reinforce the link between peace and the environment.

Gore did the smack down of Ross Perot for Big Dog Bill Clinton on NAFTA. That hit was the unkindest cut. The inconvenient truth is that Gore and Clinton paved the way for the BushCo coup which relied on the trade agreements these men put into effect.

I'm glad that Gore is aware of climate change. Why wasn't he shouting from the rooftops back when he had the megaphone? Again, it was politically inconvenient.

Gore should have stood up to Bush on a mano a' mano basis in the campaign and a few votes wouldn't have mattered. Perot was right, the government sold out the People in NAFTA. Can Gore shout that out? One issue is connected to the other. With the Freetrade nazis we will guarantee more climate change.

I saw Jenniffer Weigel,the daughter of Tim Weigel(a famous sportscaster in Chicago who died in 2001 at age 56 before his time).She was on a PBS station being interviewed by Phil Ponce, for a book she authored.Phil showed a picture of the Yale Rugby team and Her dad was at top right in the photo,top center was none other than George Bush.Tim related to his daughter that when introduced George asked Tim"What's your daddy do",Tims daughter related how her dad told her nobody on the team liked George.Tim was loved by all Chicagoans and had a firm grasp on the truth.
