An Alabama minister who died in June of "accidental mechanical asphyxia" was found hogtied and wearing two complete wet suits, including a face mask, diving gloves and slippers, rubberized underwear, and a head mask, according to an autopsy report. Investigators determined that Rev. Gary Aldridge's death was not caused by foul play and that the 51-year-old pastor of Montgomery's Thorington Road Baptist Church was alone in his home at the time he died (while apparently in the midst of some autoerotic undertaking).

Trolls and their followers want to infer that because of the extreme way in which the body was found and the sexual toy that accompanied the body that there must have been an accomplice or an unintentional "helper", or they assume it was a crime. But if you look at recent accounts of deviant sexual behavior you must realize that there are sexual deviants coming out of the woodwork and most seem to be conservatives. Reverend Gary Aldridge was found dead in his home in east Montgomery. He was the senior pastor at Thorington Road Baptist Church for the last 15 years.

Gary Aldridge graduated from Liberty University and later worked for the late Jerry Falwell. A former colleague at the school remembered him as well.

"He went on to become one of the deans and the students loved him. He had a tremendous impact on them," said Dr. Bob Miller of Liberty University.

I think if you really got to know most truly spiritual people, anyone who has searched for a spiritual solution to their own "sinful nature" you'd find a lot of closet perverts, sex addicts, alcoholics, you name it.

Most people can't admit their darkest secrets, even to anyone. Imagine being this pastor. Beloved, trusted by a congregation, teaching them about God's love yet being regularly compelled by this insane scuba gear sex desire.

Bottling it up doesn't seem to work --- look at the Catholic church. Sexuality denied seems to
express itself in very unhealthy ways.

God's got a plan. Unfortunately most people today view the church as so hypocritical, so judgemental, so responsible for wars, etc. that they never hear it. Or believe God is altogether imaginary.

If you struggle with "religion", next time you're in church, just imagine the pastor and ENTIRE congregation all wearing wet suits. Not so threatening anymore, huh?
