AP:

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton ended September with more money in the bank than rival Barack Obama, holding $35 million cash on hand for the presidential primary contests to his $32 million.

Both were far ahead of Rudy Giuliani, the money leader on the Republican side, underscoring the financial disparity between the parties. Giuliani reported $11.6 million in the bank for the GOP primary.

I don't think people are getting the full picture on HRC here. Yes, she's ahead due to the transfer of $10 mill from her Senate campaign - it was NO ACCIDENT that she had that much cash lying around. Remember, this is someone who carpetbagged to NY 7+ years ago with the expressive purpose of using her Senate seat to springboard to running for Pres. So she's been planning and calculating for YEARS on this stuff. And she has the benefit of her husband's connections in all this! I'm seeing W all over again, except she's married to the ex-pres instead of being his son. Even Al Gore, an 8-yr VP and now Nobel laureate is afraid to tangle w/ the Clinton machine. Yet Obama, a nobody in terms of long-standing political influence and machinations, who rose in influence by his writings, speeches, and impressive years as a State & Congressional Senator has held his own against the well-lubed HRC machine with his movement built from the ground-up and has inspired people to support his campaign. Even when HRC has/buys more Congressional Black Caucus endorsements than Obama has in a body he's a member of, he soldiers on! Who do you think better embodies the American spirit of determination and demonstrates REAL courage and leadership? Folks complain about W today, yet someone with a similarly crass obsession for power leads the polls - peoples better catch a clue QUICK!

HILLARY'S EXPERIENCE?

COMRADE HILLARY...

She's never run a city,

she's never run a state.

She's never run a business.

She has never met a payroll.

She has never been responsible for the safety and security of millions of people, much less even hundreds of people.

WHAT IF?
It would seem that in a TIME OF DIFFICULT PROBLEMS AND WAR WE DON'T WANT ON THE JOB TRAINING FOR (PRESIDENT).

WILL PRINCESS HILLARY STAND UP?
How will Hillary/Democrats stand up to terrorists, when they can't stand up to Fox News?

STUPID QUESTION?
If Queen Hillary is the answer, it must have a stupid question.

Here's an excellent report regarding Hillary's vote on Lieberman-Kyl. This is a wake up call for anyone who thinks that she does not support military action.

Gee. A vote requiring (a) diplomacy, and (b) that the Chimp-in-Chief has to get Congressional approval.

wow. Real smoking gun there. Did Tony Rezko help you find that one?

Right. It worked just like that the first time around.

Show me where it requires Congressional approval for military action.

And help me understand, Mr. EinChicago lawyer, how Iran will be willing to sit down and engage in diplomatic talks after we've identified their military as a terrorist organization.

If Hillary Rodham Clinton did not tranfer $10 million dollars into her presidential campaign from her Senatorial Campaign, Obama would be ahead. So in the end, minus Hillary's $10 million transfer, Barack Obama has outraised Hillary this year. Period.

Go Barak.

Regardless of the "transfer" that's a whole lot of cash that could feed a lot of starving CHILDREN in this country!!

HRC way overspent on her last Senatorial campaign and does not seem to be very fiscally responsible when it comes to spending.
Imagine what would happen with a Federal budget!

So let me get this straight. Not counting the tens of millions already spent and wasted, Obama has $32 million JUST to attack HRC and HRC has $35 million to waste JUST attacking Obama? $80 million wasted on internecine fighting helping the rethugs do their job? That's insane. That $80 million could be a lot better used to attack Ghoul-iani or Flip Romney. They need to just get together and declare a HRC/BO ticket today and start focusing their assaults in the right place. The Dems are going to throw this away in their usual manner: waste all their money and goodwill attacking each other and then find that they've taped out the well when it comes to the actual election and watch the rethugs outraise them by tens of millions when it counts and saturate the airwaves with newspeak.

I'm a Democrat. Have been my entire life. So I will continue that noble tradition of voting Democratic in '08. But I must tell you, I am very concerned about where all of this campaign money is coming from. It does seem that it is coming from those same individuals and special interests that used to invest in Republican congressmen, but seeing the handwriting on the wall, they've now shifted their focus to the Democrats to accomplish the same thing. This is wrong.

We desperately need public financing of our political process. Special interest money is destroying our democracy. Literally. It must stop. It is nothing short of bribery.

It is disgusting and reprehensible what we allow to take place in our politics.

Insist on public financing of elections if you want real change. Also, insist on "serious" lobbying reform legislation. Allowing our congressional reps to go from congress to special interest lobbying firms when they are voted out of office or when they retire is abhorrent and wrong. There should be at least three to five year delay.

Get money out of politics! Restore and elevate the primary and fundamental relationship that all congressmen should hold sacred -- their constituents, the voters!

I already insisted on public financing of elections and the politician's laughed at me.

Even Hillary gave me one of her big guffaws.

She bore some resemblence to a mule or donkey as she Hee-Hawed. With those big teeth and ears of hers.

Anyways I insist most strenuously and you should too.

Let's ask Obama!

On the one hand you've got $30 milliion in the bank which you can spend anyway you want. Or you could have government regulated funds.

Obama thinks, he shoots, he scores!

He says he'll stick with the warchest folks.

He says he feels much more audacitous.

Hillary has $35 million?

They must have released Norman Hsu from jail.

It looks like the Hillraisers are 'shaking down' republicans.

Kudos! That is why this Dem is voting for Ron Paul, the only candidate w/o special interest monies that actually could unite this country and win.

It's a shame that so many seem to be obsessed with dollars. Were they not, we might actually elect a good candidate in 2008.

Not one of these mainstream shills will get my vote.

I'm with you on that, Will. Each time I read about the millions the candidates have or are spending, I tell myself that the Mafia has lots of contributors, as well.

But that said, the money does help to provide a way for the candidates to get around to as many Americans as possible to show who they are. It's a catch 22. We can't know enough about person to vote honestly is we don't see them in person or hear their message.

If I were a drinker I would raise my glass to your comment. I am disgusted with the almost daily reports as to how much a candidate has raised. I am even more disgusted that a candidate actually needs that much money to run a campaign. Who is reaping the benefits of the campaign cash cow?

"Who is reaping the benefits of the campaign cash cow?"

The same media machine that shapes the issues, the debates, the candidates, and the polls showing who the winners are.

The public's choice in front-runner candidates is so limited as to be unacceptable.

We are sold only a version of baloney sandwiches with either white bread or some other overly processed flour. The offering is served with tainted Kool-Aid. We are expected to quietly chow down and drink up. No thnaks.
