Four years after her CIA cover was blown in a newspaper column, Valerie Plame is settling scores with the Bush administration, Republican lawmakers and the journalists involved in the White House leak scandal.

Plame writes about the leak, the fallout and the perjury trial of former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby in her memoir, "Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House." The book is to be released Tuesday.

She offers harsh words for President Bush, whom she assails for administration "arrogance and intolerance." She also said criticism of her husband, former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, was a "dress rehearsal" for the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth effort that impugned Sen. John Kerry's war record during his failed presidential campaign in 2004.

Then again, maybe the whole thing isn't quite over just yet.....

At least she and her husband are in positions to tell the truth to all without worrying about having their lives smashed publicly and privately.
Bush has already done that.

It's a good thing Huffpost put this story on here, you know since nobody seems to be buying her book.

I wonder if it was that Vanity Fair cover which I believe won "The Tasteless Act of The Year Award".

Or maybe it was the 9/11 commission and bi-partisan senate investigation declaring that Wilson had LIED in his article.

Who can really tell why her book is such a failure? Perhaps nobody really gives a shat about her long expired 15 minutes of fame.

I guess well never know.

You may attack away. I'm going to go drink crude oil from Olbermanns skull (goddamn Colbert is funny).

You know what's really amazing about this? Despite all the crap that the neocons have put her and her husband through, there are STILL brain dead neocons that think she wasn't a covert operative!

How come Novak hasn't been prosecuted yet?
Publicly exposing a CIA operative is a FEDERAL offense, isn't it? If an average person did it they'd go to jail for a really long time. But typical a*****e neocons like him are above the law. The corporate media stumble all over themselves spinning this to the max for ratings. Yet everybody's forgetting the most important thing. She, her family and many of her sources could have been killed. If they were, could Novak and these others be prosecuted for being accomplices to a murder? Or would it be the typical neocon crap of f**k you. I dare you to go after me. You don't have the money, time or nerve to touch me. I wonder what Novak would say if somebody tried to kill him for exposing her?(yes, even the U.S. government uses assassins. The Executive Order signed by Ford back in the '70s banning assassinations was just a lie to reassure the naive public that to the neocons will believe anything they're told).

IIPA does not cover journalists. It is a crime for those entrusted with national security secrets such as the identity of American agents to deliberately spread that information to those who should not have it.

So Rove, Libbey, Cheney and Bush are guilty under IIPA, but Novak was never supposed to have the information in the first place, and thus is not enjoined from spreading the word.

Rove, Libbey, Cheney and Bush are still at jeopardy of prosecution on this, by the way.

She wasn't a covert operative. Stop lying.

Her only danger was spilling a drop of coffee on her suit as she walked to her desk each day.

You calling the Director of CIA, General Hayden, a liar?

Hayden stated that she was covert.

And Plame testified under oath that she was a NOC. Nobody with actual knowledge of the question has EVER sworn an oath and contradicted her.

Oh, and why did CIA redact page after page of Plame's book if the only danger she faced was spilling coffee?

Asshole..

Uncle Thomas was the perfect neo-con patsy, a confused, self-hating, black hating degenerate. He has been in denial his entire life and will go to the grave the same way. He is the ultimate fraud.

And at no point in time have I seen any glimpse of his so called intelligence.

"Some of the details Plame had planned to offer, including discussion of her CIA career and her job responsibilities, are redacted from the book. Sometimes that means whole pages of blacked-out text. The CIA objected to the material's release and Plame lost a court fight to include it."

If that doesn't once and for all shut the gaping maws of the Republican troll mob, concerning her covertness or not, I don't know what will.

Face it, under-bridge dwellers: the lady worked in a VERY sensitive area and the courts agreed with the CIA, that printing a word of it in her book was a threat to national security.

Or perhaps the courts consider stories detailing light clerical work, pencil pushing as the trolls called it, as falling under the auspices of national security.

Skulk off to your Republican bubbles, you Bush-apologist nabobs!

Once again, reality demonstrates its liberal bias, as if there was any doubt.

Nice try fantagor, but this statement alone:

"Some of the details Plame had planned to offer, including discussion of her CIA career and her job responsibilities, are redacted from the book. Sometimes that means whole pages of blacked-out text. The CIA objected to the material's release and Plame lost a court fight to include it."

is a spurious correlation. Just because you have access to information, or worked in an area that by its very nature of release could jeopardize national security, does not mean that you are covert. Surely you can see the nuance of that.

Oh, for all the distraction trolls with their accusations of raking in book royalties and lecture fees:

The Bush mobsters found Wilson's client list and hounded them all until they abandoned Wilson, leaving him without an income.

Sounds like an episode of the Sopranos.

What is your point? Troll. Do you have any facts to build a counter argument with?

I did not think so.

Wilson came out and said that the emperor had on no clothes, and the emperor's court stomped him.

This used to be a democracy.
