Spotted in New York, a charming campaign moment: Hillary and Chelsea Clinton enjoying a private mother-daughter birthday lunch. Just the two of them at Milos, a terrific Greek restaurant on W 55th. (Arianna vouches for the quality and authenticity of the food. Her take: "Great choice!")

If it is so charming, why do I need to know about it. I am sure the interruption of daily routine in the area with Secret Service and all the on-lookers made it even more imtimate.

This is why Hillary is seen as so contrived. This smells of politics as usual to me. Chelsea should have done what like thousands of us do, make a nice little dinner for Mom at home.

Going to a restaurant on 55th St in NYC is a political decision and you bought into it with the headline "charming." I find it pandering.
