What Hollywood is calling "the Judith Miller movie" is now filming on location here, but prepare yourselves: Some changes are being made to the story inspired by the outing of a CIA agent.

For starters, in the movie Judith Miller is no longer Judith Miller of the New York Times, but Rachel Armstrong of the Washington Capital Sun. And while the real Judith Miller may be remembered as a stylish, slightly scary reporter of 59, headed off to jail in a quilted black jacket and tortoise-frame sunglasses, in the movie she is a sizzling Kate Beckinsale, 34, dressed in a, shall we say, form-fitting skirt.

Trust us, if this Rachel Armstrong had asked I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby how to spell Valerie Plame's name, he would have taken pen in hand. (Miller famously wrote in her notebook "Valerie Flame.")

Is Heidi Fleisch available to play the role of Judy? They look and act a lot alike and seem to be on the same page where "class and glam" are concerned.

Trying to glam up Judith Miller is almost insulting.

The only way this works is if the movie delivers Miller as an Uber Toppen Hanna Reich landing her airborne beemer in a Berlin maze of rubble and road - rushing into the bunker for that one last chance at a date with the big guy.

It's Hollywood, it's expected. The producers cast glamorous actors to attract more viewers.

More importantly, this movie is more likely to fail because of its topic. The movies "A Mighty Heart" and "Rendition" were unsuccessful at the box office. Movies about the ongoing war in the Middle East and terrorism have a better chance of success in the future after the conflict is over. Unfortunately no one knows when that will be.

Kate in a tight skirt. Well they certainly know how to get a guys attention don't they. I still watch Underworld about twice a year just to see her in tight leather.

Judith Miller epitomizes everything that was and continues to be wrong with journalism in this country.

Here you have an ego maniac driven by the lust for access to the powerful who sold her soul (and who knows what else) to the devil and Darth Vader to keep her byline on the front page of the New York Times.

Her journalistic prostitution turned the NYT into a brothel pedaling lies and fabrications on the street corners and the internet during the run-up to the war in Iraq.

We can only hope that the real message of this movie points out the extreme damage to our Nation that results when journalistic pimps and prostitutes become stooges for the NeoCon Military Petroleum Complex.

Judith Miller was not galmorous in any sense of the word. She wasn't even attractive. The fact that she was able to trade sex for tidbits of information is absolutely astounding. These guys must have been hard up. Then again, they are republicans.

Did Bob Woodward look like Robert Redford?

Did Carl Bernstein look like Dustin Hoffman?

They don't call Hollywood Tinsel Town and La La Land for nothing.

"Write that novel you got kicking around in your head. You know, the one about the intrepid Washington reporter with the courage to stand up to the administration. You know - fiction!"

Judy Miller should be portrayed by Dale Dickey, who has a homely, weathered face, and is closer in age to Miller than Beckinsale.

Dickey currently plays a prostitute on "My Name is Earl", so she could probably play one in the movies as well.

DITTO: Judith Miller was a neocon propagandist not a journalist.

She sold her integrity for "access."

Future journalism students should have to study her mistakes.

Heroine??? Is that what we now call whore traitors? The story is not at all confusing. Judith Miller is a neocon propagandist not a journalist.

>In real life, the Plame/Libby/Miller affair was a little confusing -- ethically, journalistically, narratively

Oh yes, it was so very, very confusing.
