He made light of the situation, and of Ellen's ongoing troubles over her dog-adoption-gone-awry, by bringing her a Waffle House t-shirt. They discussed other things during the interview — including the fact that Kid Rock is still waiting for ex-wife Pamela Anderson to return the wedding ring! — but the interview opened with Kid's explanation of the circumstances that led to his arrest. His explanation? "One thing led to another, windows were broken, and, you know, cussin' and fussin', the mud, the blood, and the beer." Watch:
