After two days of making it easy for us, Tyra made it a bit more difficult to decide today's "Tyra's 'It's All About Me' Moment of the Day." Today's show was genuinely good-natured (which is to say, Oprah-esque), as it was all about life expectancy, managing physical and mental health, and "When Will I Die?" quizzes. So today we bring you a double-feature: first, in an attempt to counsel a guest who had a fear of flying, Tyra instead mostly congratulated herself for the time she spent in the air during the height of her modeling days ("I used to be on a plane every three days!"). Then, in a segment with centenarian guests who thoughtfully knit (ok, shell-stitched) her an afghan, Tyra's chief concern was turning the blanket into something "hot and fierce." Watch:

Each time I have come across these "Tyra Moment of the Day" posts, I think Huffington Post has seriously lowered its quality. The people creating these posts are merely describing themselves.
Can you be interesting and humorous without attacking someone?

Has HuffPo made some sort of sydie advertising deal with Tyra and is labeling it as a news/feature? It sure feels like they are shoving these clips down our throat and desperately searching for a vidbit to serve up. It's not even close to The View bitchslaps that were kind of news or Ellen's breakdown. Give us a break HuffPo and stop the useless feature about Tyra, PLEASE! Seriously, no one talks or cares about anything that happens on her show. Something on Oprah will make it to office or party chat but never have I ever heard someone say anything about an episode of Tyra, get real here guys, you're better than this.

Is there a reason that you three really have to debase anyone who actually enjoys posts like this? I volunteer for Al Franken's Senate campaign, I've given my first donation to a presidential candidate, I've fundraised for progressive NGOs, my career goal is to become a civil rights attorney (dealing with tribal sovereignty issues, in particular), and when I can, I attend the occasional protest.

And I love Tyra.

So please, for everyone's best interests, stop b***hing about the cheeto-chewing stay-at-home-moms and morons who like watching Extra. We all have our guilty pleasures. You would do well to find a few of your own.
