Who is the British royal family member at the center of the sex and cocaine scandal? It's not Charles, Edward, or even Harry but Viscount David Linley, son of the late Princess Margaret, twelfth in line to the throne, sources tell Radar.

His story is blowing up the British papers today, but British law prohibits any of them from naming the hard-partying royal. As the tale goes, two men demanded £50,000 from 45-year-old Linley in return for footage allegedly showing a royal aide talking of gay sex with him. The aide is also allegedly seen on a video tape taking cocaine from an envelope embossed with Linley's name.

Shouldn't we just be happy that someone, somewhere is getting "serviced"? I mean, really...lets applaud joy, and not worry about who is having sex with whom.

I love the way the Huffington post puts stuff about royals under "entertainment news". Believe it or not, there was a time not so long ago (ie, before the Diana/Charles/Camilla debacle)when the British royal family was expected to do something besides provide entertainment, but those days are over.

With Diana gone, the UK media is scrambling around like locust trying to find a new royal to publicly torture.
I don't care if this guy sucked cocaine off a gay drug dealer's penis.
With people like George W. Bush killing and torturing people and getting by with it, why would anyone care if a somewhat royal British guy is a little bent?

David Linley is a good guy. In my experience, friendly, intelligent, engaging. A private citizen and a productive member of society: http://www.davidlinley.com

Viscount Linley receives no Government allowance.

If an aide is involved, that aide is paid for out of the private funds of David's Aunt, The Queen.

While I'd LOVE to have him be a member of the club, there's no evidence whatsoever that Viscount Linley had gay sex with ANYBODY, at least not based on this. And as has been noted above, someone taking white powder -- allegedly cocaine -- out of an envelope doesn't mean that he put cocaine INTO the envelope or that he's ever used it.

WoooOoooW! A possible gay man! The sky is falling, Chicken Licken! Civilisation is crashing! Big bloody deal...

David is an immensely talented furniture-maker and has built a thriving business around it. He is also married to a lovely lady.

Let us, in our haste to wallow in today's celebrity swamp, take a moment to reflect on the fact that, as of yet:

* No evidence suggests that Linley had anything to do with any of this. All we have is the word of a cocaine-using aide -- and we all know how mouths and delusions of grandeur can run when that powder is involved.

* So he worked for Linley and had an envelope with the Viscount's name...I work for a company and have letterhead at my disposal. That doesn't mean if I put cocaine in one of my company's envelopes that our CEO is doing the drug.

* Suffice it to say, if there was a gay in the royal family, and they were bloqwing the help, this would have gotten out long ago. If the tabloids wouldn't touch it, something's rotten, to be sure.

As for the "brains" (cough, cough) behind this blackmail operation, I hope that fat, perma-tanned little shite burns in hell for the trouble he is causing.

He's a mediocre-to-awful furniture designer who has built a thriving business on his family connections, he is to furniture what Charles is to architecture. Other than that the only thing of interest in this case is why his family connections appear to have placed him above the law, and the accused beneath it.

What's with these royals and the gay gene. Looks like Harry is the only one that didn't get it. Maybe William, but he looks a bit to cherubish to me as well.

Maybe Diana saved the gene pool -- that's probably why they offed her.
