Would Brad Pitt be a liability for Barack Obama?

When the socially conscious star offered to help the Democratic contender's presidential campaign, he was turned down, our sources report.

The overture was made through intermediaries, and it's not known whether the Illinois senator was even aware of Pitt's offer to make appearances on his behalf.

Say what you want . . . . but my "Obama for President" bumpersticker looks GREAT on my black 2008 Volvo sedan.

Dear Brad,

No thank you. We are fucking up our campaign really well on our own! Gee thanks though!

Signed, Obama -- remember, Obama '08!

P.S. I love the gays. Congratulations on not being one any more! You and McClurkin should talk!

Is there anybody he's NOT distantly related to? Also, this is just another sign that the honeymoon is definately over. Every step has to be carefully thought out and like it or not he will have to be loaded with cash and vicious. That's the nature of the system and Hillary has made it obvious where she stands. So let's see if he can grab the opportunity in front of him.

Obama is history, thankfully.

He and Hillary can go hang with their homophobe friends as they plan our next war.

Yes, Obama is against the war in Iraq, but not Pakistan, Iran, etc.

They were all on board with McKasey. Now that Chris Dodd, (who probably would make the best president out of these losers) say's "no way", it's "safe" for Obama to criticize. I thought he was going to be the leader? That's what they said. As soon as he knows something is 'safe', he'll do it. Brad Pitt would be wasting his efforts with this sham of a candidate. I would vote for Ron Paul before Obama.

I can look myself in the mirror the next morning if I vote for Dodd, Richardson,(many DECADES of stellar experience between the two), Kucinich, Biden,Edwards, but I cannot and will not bring myself to pull a lever that say's Hillary or Obama.

This is probably the most important election in my lifetime (and the first real one is the last three, we HOPE). We don't need just another clone of what they think will work.

Hillary is a hawk, Obama is a coward. Which is worse?

Superstation WGN-TV reported last night that Barack Obama and Brad Pitt are distant cousins, much like him and Dickey Cheney.

After the last week of Obama and his horse-sh*t campaign spitting on gays/lesbians and People with AIDS, I'm glad neither Brad or Angelina are anywhere near this FIASCO.
Angelina is stellar in being a UNICEF representative, and Brad has some of the BEST concepts for re-building New Orleans...it would be even MORE TRAGIC, if either of their work got sullied by attaching themselves to Obama.

I agree -- however in a couple of weeks Obama will want to attach himself to Boy George if that will net him a few votes.

That will be Donnie attaching himself to Boy George, Obama will just greet them via video link!

CAMPAIGN REALITY CHECK: A Conversation Between Bill and Hillary

Hillary: I looked at the news today and it appears that the Donnie McClurkin thing is big news.

Bill: Yeah, but don"t get gleeful honey: Democratic Underground has a scathing article on your strong ties and association with your friend, Rev. Harold Mayberry, who as you know, believes homosexuality is equal to thievery. Here is the article right here: (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=3650224&mesg_id=3650768)

Hillary: Really?

Bill: Yes. And then there is your association with rev. eugene rivers, one of Boston's outspoken homophobes. Here is a picture with you guys together: (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=3629131&mesg_id=3629131) And there is even word now that one of the powerful black ministers in South Carolina who you are paying a monthly consulting fee to has spewed homophobic rhetoric. It was bound to come out.

Hillary: So I"m getting no traction on this issue? Is that what you"re telling me?

Bill: Correct. You and Obama are in a statistical dead heat in IOWA. The NATIONAL polls have you in 20 point leads, but dearie, if Obama beats you in IOWA (which is not out of the question), those national polls will drop. IOWA where it is a dead heat. Return that "Mission Accomplished Banner" because the race ain"t over.

Hillary: So I can"t criticize Obama on McClurkin?

Bill: To criticize Obama on McClurkin in light of your homophobic associations would be, well, THE AUDACITY OF HYPOCRISY. Obama is strong on gay rights: As a state Senator, Obama co-sponsored legislation to bar discrimination against gays in housing and employment. And the Human Rights Campaign gave him high marks on issues of importance to gays. All you have to do is GOOGLE it. "SOME" of your Huffo supporters like to blast Obama with uninformed opinions, by they could very easily research his issues by going to www.barackobama.com/issues

Hillary: What should I do?

Bill: Look at BARACK-TV on barackobama.com. That guy is unstoppable.

Huh?

We all know that Mayberry endorsed Clinton.

You have alleged, however that there is a "friendship" and "strong ties" between Clinton and Mayberry.

Your links provide no corroboration for your assertions.

She is not "a UNICEF representative." She has been a Goodwill Embassador for the United Nations High Commission on Refugees since 2001. Separate agency.

OBAMA is a loser just like Billary, the majority of congress, the administration and the supreme court.

The USA has become a damn disgrace.

So it's better to associate yourself with McClurkin than with Pitt? Dumb move.

Hollywood elite is a bogus term employed by the angry, weak and envious. It's an easy catchall phrase and scapegoat. Like him or not, Pitt's a decent man (seriously flawed == factor in the tabloid-riffic Jen-Angelina garbage) -- but trying to do good in New Orleans, even spending days building houses for Habitat For Humanity in India without breaking his arm patting himself on the back.
Stop painting Hollywood as the demon -- very few people are native to Hollywood. It's a melting pot of AMERICANS (and foreigners, too) who go to one place to pursue their dreams and goals and some make it. When you decry "hollywood values" and the "hollywood elite" you simply are scapegoating the people who escaped your backyard... cause they ARE America.

Both are paper tigers: Barack Hussein and Brad Pitt! Both hyped up by the media, mostly hot air and nothing else. One way or the other, it does not matters as BHO's campaign is over ...

Maybe Obama is jealous that Pitt is cuter than he is.

A sure sign that Obama has lost it. Mr. Pitt seems to be the real deal.

At least Mr. Pitt puts his money where his mouth is to help society. I agree with you.

Dear ChocolateMess08,

I tried to tell you months ago today's America will never elect a black man to be president. This is a very racist country. It's now time to get behind a horse that can win. Even yourself show signs of racism. I mean what does "Chocolate2008" real mean? That you have made your pick based on color.

Take a day off and regroup. Let the anger go.

Don't be part of the problem, be part of the solution.

Peace

Chocolate has nothing to do with color or a particular candidate idiot. If I was talking about Barack Obama , I would have said WhiteChocolate2008. I used it as FOOD. Like Pizza2008. Chocolate just happens to be my FAVORITE!

As for the racist shet, America is ready to elect a Black man. Democrats are just too racist to nominate one. They have not changed from 1964. They are the same Party. The only difference is, instead of clansmen on horses, you have Bigots in the Blogosphere trying to intimidate people into voting for the White Man from the South.

Thank God for Independents and Moderate Republicans who are switching over to vote for Barack Obama along with the Progressive Youth.

Maybe Brad can teach him how to have a clandestine affair with one of his campaign chicks, get her pregnant, then leave his wife as if nothing ever happened.... and the public will love the Obama love child, just like they do Brad and Angelina. Awwww...but they're so cute together
