Live! From New York! It's Barack Obama making a surprise visit to open NBC's Saturday Night Live.

Democratic presidential hopeful Obama played himself in a sketch where he one-upped a cast member playing chief rival Hillary Rodham Clinton, working in a campaign theme along the way--that he has nothing to hide and the calculating Clinton does.

The caricatures are too real - art again has interpreted reality and hit the mark. I went back to a post I had written earlier and realized that my commentary about Biden and Dodd were strikingly similar. Richardson's pandering was excellent. But Obama really came through with his charm. Thanks.
Ohg.

lame comedy. snl isnt even a shadow of a shadow of its former self. sure not worth staying up to watch it. politics is great fodder for satire. that wasnt it.

I'm not a Hillary supporter but the SNL skit was out of line.

Obama declares on the show "I have nothing to hide" but in reality dude, you got nothing to show.

When it comes to Hillary's laugh, at least she has some personality. Obama is too stuck on himself to have a personality.

That Obama would choose to participate in this nasty tacky little skit deriding his fellow candidates shows his complete lack of character and decency and respect for the others.

Geeez, do you think they could have given him something funny to say?

The least they could have done for him is to take that stick out of his back, you know, the one that makes him mimic a campaign sign whenever he moves up or down, side to side, turning left . . . .

Two things - Obama ceased being a viable candidate when he endorsed bigotry in his campaign and SNL, with the exception of the occasional "Dick in a Box" flash of brilliance, just isn't funny anymore.

If adults watch this program for entertainment no wonder we've had Bush for two terms in this country.

haha - that was pretty funny. you are the man obama. i hope you win no matter how likely or unlikely that is because for the first time in a long time there is a candidate i am for rather than against. (and no it is not because of the skit-it's because of his decision on iraq and his overall way of dealing with problems.)

Yeah, it's good. He needs to smile more. He could have worn a Mitt Romney mask too.

Now that I watch it again, very close rendition of reality. Hillary the two face pandering bitch, Bill the sauve, ingratiating man whore, Richardson the incesent toot my own horn kiss ass, Biden and Dodd worthy yet unheard, and Obama...sure,steady,consistant,solid and courteous. My favorite professor.

Obama's last ditch attempt to gain some momentum to a failing campaign. Don't worry folks he will run again when he's older and wiser, after all what other viable black canidates are there.

The second 'political' skit was not funny, probably for the painful fact that America truly doesn't recognize any of the Democratic candidates other than Hillary or Obama, and got none of the references. The joke about Edwards being an ambulance chaser fell totally flat, as well as anything anyone else said during the whole sketch. It was just flat overall.
