Shirley MacLaine: I Believe In UFOs More Than Ever, Support Kucinich

This morning on "Today" Shirley MacLaine opened up about seeing a UFO "buzzing around the Capitol and the White House" when she was 18-years-old. She also discussed the impact of Dennis Kucinich publicly acknowledging a UFO sighting of his own. Unsurprisingly, she loved it. She seemed to be pretty calm and rational about the whole thing, unlike what most people think of UFO believers.

From NBC 11/7/07.

What do you think? Have you ever had a UFO sighting?

A mind-blowing, unbelievably exciting documentary film named "Out of the Blue" is an absolute must see by everyone!

It's a UFO documentary packed with actual footage, documents and testimony from many, many credible, high ranking military officials from several countries and even politicians including U.S. presidents.

This is the proof we've waited for and it is surreal! Tell everyone about this film because it is the best investigative film on UFO's produced to date. The producer has done such a tremendous job of putting this documentary together and with more information coming out and more willing to break their silence that they're now planning on releasing a sequel to this film in theaters named "Beyond the Blue."

Today, cover-ups are being exposed at breakneck speeds and we are now at a tipping point ladies and gentlemen. Be the ones to give it one last push.

I can't believe there is still no mention anywhere on HuffPo of Kucinich's bill to impeach Cheney. I have been realizing, for the last couple of months, how only Hillary and Obama have been getting most of the coverage and advertising on this site. Whenever Senator Gravel would post a blog, it would be buried within hours. Gravel was not "allowed" to be in the Democratic debate on October 30,2007 apparently because he hadn't raised $1,000,000.

This bloody presidential race started way to early, & now the MSM(including HuffPo) are telling us who matters in this race. I'm still undecided, but I really like what Kucinich and Gravel have to say. They bring important issues into the race. I will probably vote for one of them in the Primary.

I like Shirley MacLaine, too. I would vote for her if she ran for President.

I agree with the comments here. It's good to know that I'm not the only one pissed off with this site's obvious bias. There are many times I have posted a comment that never shows up or goes into some limbo never to be seen, maybe this comment will have the same fate?

This whole subject is just an effort to distract from the fact that Kucinich is smart, popular with anyone who has actually bothered to find out about him, and the only candidate who is standing up for democracy and pushing to impeach Bush and Cheney.

This PBS interview is a good way to get to know about him. http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/politics/july-dec07/kucinich_10-04.html

And then there's his courageous courage in introducing articles of impeachment yesterday, something covered nowhere here at HuffPost. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/24/AR2007042401542.html

Kucinich is a light in the darkness. If he is moved by the unexplained, I'd say that speaks well of him.

A country which elected George Bush to the presidency not once but twice (well he didn't get elected either time but we've let him hold the office anyway), might consider looking at their candidates more deeply this time around.

"Today the world faces a single man armed with weapons of mass destruction, manifesting an aggressive, bullying attitude, who may well plunge the world into chaos and bloodshed if he miscalculates. This person, belligerent, arrogant, and sure of himself, truly is the most dangerous person on Earth. The problem is that his name is George W. Bush, and he is our president"

Huffpo has not reported on the most important question on this subject. WHAT IS KUCHINICH SMOKING.

i just called my (R) congressman after seeing he had voted not to table hr333. i explained to the aid that answered that i had noticed this vote of support for impeachment (hehe), and asked him how serious the congressman was. *silence* after a second he came back, stuttering, "uh, i, uh, don't really, umm, know how he......"

what a great feeling!

Although it's already been said hundreds of times... Come on, HuffPo. This "story" is crap. The real story involving Kucinich is HR 333 and you really dropped the ball not covering that. Shame on you.

I hope you are getting the message that all of us readers are posting.

Covering this smear story and helping the fluff media to marginalize Kucinich really destroys your credibility among the progressive crowd that make up a majority of your active readers. Way to alienate your audience. Well done.

Give it a rest. He didn't say he saw little green men. He said he saw a flying object he couldn't identify (which is the definition of UFO). God! There is REAL news out there you know!!!!

HuffPost,
I get it... you are not going to headline what was accomplished two days ago with getting Republicans to vote on an impeach Cheney issue by Kucinich

At least have enough self respect to drop this dumb ass irrelevent story.

Here is the incredibly stupid question and the "moonbat" answer that everyone is making such a big deal of:
-------------------------
Russert: Congressman Kucinich, I want to move to a different area, because this is a serious question. The godmother of your daughter, Shirley MacLaine, writes in her new book that you sighted a UFO over her home in Washington state...

(Laughter)

... that you found the encounter extremely moving, that it was a "triangular craft, silent and hovering," that you "felt a connection to your heart and heard directions in your mind."

Now, did you see a UFO?

Kucinich: I did. And the rest of the account -- I didn't -- it was an unidentified flying object, OK? It's, like, it's unidentified. I saw something. Now, to answer your question, I'm moving my -- it's -- and I'm also going to move my campaign office to Roswell, New Mexico, and other one in Exeter, New Hampshire, OK?

And also, you have to keep in mind that more -- that Jimmy Carter saw a UFO and also that more people in this country have seen UFOs than I think approve of George Bush's presidency.
----------------
I thought it was a fairly reasonable answer to a fairly unreasonable and ridiculous question. Note, he never said he saw an alien anything. He said he saw something that he could not identify. And then he made a joke out of it. What was he suppose to do - refute (and therefore insult) the godmother of his child on national television? There was no good aswer to this stupid question. What about the relevant questions - about the shredding of the constitution, the endless war in Iraq, the proposed world war III, the right to fair trial? Why aren't we hearing the answers to those questions all over the media?

Hey! I suppose Huffpost is privately owned E-Rag! It stands for reason the content will be selective. Even the comment section here is VERY selective. It's the way of the times today, in every facetious venue.

Just checking this morning:

Still no HuffPo coverage of Kucinich's impeachment resolution. The blog doesn't count; they "approve" the posts there. When Kucinich introduces articles of impeachment against Bush will HuffPo cover it?

HuffPo also did not give any coverage to the passage of the Kyl-Lieberman act which gave Bush the power to wage war on Iran.

and even after 9 pages of comments asking for a coverage on this impeachment bill, Huffpo still hasn't reported on the impeachment bill being in the Judiciary Committee or that Wexler has written to the committee to hold hearings immediately.Pretty transparent display of pandering by the Huffpo. I am extremely disappointed.

This is so interesting to watch. After checking out the stories on presidentialufo.com it's clear every president has had something to do with the subject. But Kucinich, being more left of center, has to defend himself against being a looney who should get a Breathalyser test. Meanwhile the GOP Wingnuts who believe that the Christian faithful will be teleported off the planet before a resurrected prophet from 2000 yrs. ago returns to Earth and lays waste to billions of infidels, well, that's "religion" and we won't go there. After all, Das Fuhrer Bush gets his marching orders directly from Jesus' boss.
