MyFox LA:

Democratic Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton was heckled by a member of the audience during a forum on global warming on Saturday.

Clinton was interrupted by a Code Pink antiwar demonstrator shouting that she had voted for the war in Iraq.

Taking it in stride, Clinton heckled the Code Pink antiwar demonstrator right back as he was escorted out.

Yeah except the protestor was right, and notice
that the protester got escorted OUT of
Queen Hillary's court instead of Hillary
getting escorted INTO court...times we live
in, I guess...

This is a prime example of why there shouldn't be a mandate to nominate Hillary Clinton as the Democratic candidate. It's a fundamental "wrong" thing about her psychological makeup. Attacking a protester back is the kind of snipeish thing that makes people uneasy when they think about Hillary as a president. That's generally a sign of pretty bad insecurity about something. Even though John Edwards voted to allow military action in Iraq, because he's come out so vehemently against it, his conscience is clear. However, Hillary refuses to do the same, preferring to just pretend it didn't happen by trying to laugh it off or dodge the question. Sure, she gets asked it a lot, but that's purely a result of her own inability to deal with it.

The reason I don't support Hillary and won't until the nominee is decided is because I think we all can and should do a whole lot better than that. She needs to vindicate herself by sponsoring and helping to pass quality legislation in the Senate if she isn't going to come out publicly with her stance on the Iraq occupation. It is the most pressing issue of this time, alongside artificial climate change.

When someone makes a speech it is time to listen, not debate or interupt!
It's not possible to talk and listen at the same time, all an ill mannered heckler succeds in doing is disrupting freedom of speech. There is a time and a place for everything and this was not it. He has diminished himself and his cause, losing the moral ground and any argument he may have had!

The famous mystery of how many angels can dance on a pin's head today reads: how many anti-Hillary pieces can HuffPo squeeze onto one page?

So when a candidate comes to give a speech, that means that this is the time and place for everyone in the room to exercise free speech? Does everyone speak at once, or does each person take a number? Don't like her? cool. disagree? fine.
Does this really hurt her or hurt the entire party and the likely hood of a Democrat being elected in Nov 2008? Protesters generally do this to get arrested, not to make a speech. What would happen if a candidate said "all right, if you agree to shut up afterward, I'll give you five minutes to express your opinion." I suspect the protester would not agree.

Hillary supporters boo fellow Democrats and cheer a peaceful protester's forceful removal?; George W. Bush would be proud.

America Deserves Better!

NO MORE BUSHES -OR CLINTON IN THE WHITE HOUSE !!!

What the hell are these people supposed to do? At least they're actually protesting (vs. the apathetic majority that stays home and watches "American Idol). Also, it's called craetive non-violent protest. We all know that the corporate neocon media doesn't tolerate dissent. So you have to outthink them and then grab all the attention you can.

I wonder if Hillary will tolerate dissent if she gets in?

I wonder when anybody has the right to oppose a candidate? These events either do not allow questions or the people who are asking questions are planted and/or screened. What kind of democracy is that? And if you open your mouth you are tasered or arrested?

I clicked the link to watch the video and chuckled when I realized that it linked to a video hosted at a FOX affiliate website. Thats sure to make a head or two explode here.

These people are really getting annoying. Moreover, Fox News is using these people to suggest they represent mainstream Democrats which could not be farther from the truth. Why must they embarrass our party this way, why???

"...defending her vote for the Kyl-Lieberman amendment — which critics have charged was
intended to escalate towards military confrontation with Iran — Senator Clinton said,
“The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has assisted the militias… in killing…Americans.”'

The point is that Ms. Clinton has been, and remains, the MOST hawkish of the Dem candidates.

Only because the Republicans are fielding a gang of super-hawks does she seem "moderate".

The Repugs could probably win, were they to field a candidate who would pose as a "moderate" who promised to "end the war", even with a fake "secret plan" (as Nixon dishonestly did).

You can love her or hate her, but the audience came to hear Hillary and not listen to some screaming moonbat trying to shout her down.

Heckling and disruption are not free speech; they are abusive political tools that harrass the democratic nature of public assembly.

Unfortunately this sort of thing is becoming all too common and it does not serve our nation well.

Hillary, speech does not need an invitation. You must be thinking of the old Soviet Union or the new GW Bush world.

Who cares about a lone heckler? The real story is the weak-ass response to global warming issues by the candidates. I know, they're afraid of scaring people, but are we really suppose to think that if they're elected, they'll step up to the plate and support real change? Even Kucinich is pretty soft on this issue although he implies he'll be tough on coal.

$15 billion a year? Come on, Hillary. How about we spend what we have on the Iraqi fubar and get off our oil addiction? We can bring the green technology to market, support manufacturing and sell it to the rest of the world.

Serious candidates should be pushing solar arrays, hydrogen infrastructure, bio-mass, geothermal, solar, wind ...

And not with goals of 2050.
