Obama Pulling Ahead Of Hillary In Iowa Poll

Obama Leads In Iowa Poll

ABC News:

A growing focus on fresh ideas coupled with lingering doubts about Hillary Clinton's honesty and forthrightness are keeping the Democratic presidential contest close in Iowa, with Barack Obama in particular mounting a strong race against the national front-runner.

Most Democratic likely voters in Iowa, 55 percent, say they're more interested in a "new direction and new ideas" than in strength and experience, compared with 49 percent in July -- a help to Obama, who holds a substantial lead among "new direction" voters.

I must tell you, as a person who has seen the U.S from outside in, I think the U.S population is getting dumber because of the politics of the day.

WHAT THE HELL IS FLIP-FLOP for goodness sakes? The other is "on the table and off the table"?

As Pelosi famously said, "impeachment is off the table". When did on and off the table get into the intellectual discourse of the day? Only since BUSH got into office it seems.

We need an intellectual in the White House. We need more people the likes of Benjamin Franklin. I am not comparing Obama to him by the way, I am just saying we need to go back to electing intellectuals who would set the country on the right course. Instead of, who would you rather have beer with?

WHO WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE BEER WITH? WHAT NONSENSE!!!

Well no shit!

The higher your level of education, the less you like Hillary Clinton.

But if you really want to get a kick.
Keep your detective goggles on Hillary's campaign in the coming months.
they are about to really reveal themselves for what they are. (The other side of a Bush crime family coin.)
With people like Hillary/Bush its always just a matter of time before the expose themselves.

Dear morris1030,

Please quit screaming. You're scaring the children and small animals. Plus people automatically assume you're a dumb ass when you do that. That is all.

Actually on second though keep doing that. You're a Hillary fan boy so you're actually hurting her more than you're helping. Press on!

Hopefully after the Iowa votes come in, Hillary will do a primal scream, like Howard Dean did in 2004, with the same results.

PRAISE JESUS!

I, and 158 of my illegal "helper" workers from Tumbleweed, Mexico, are working HARD for Saint Obama here at the

Tumbleweed, Iowa OBAMA 2008 Headquarters!

which is the 8th branch of the 15th Ward of the

Obama 2008 Iowa Headquarters Ward

we have a budget of $2.9 million, and the nearest office 2 blocks away has a budget double that.

if Iowans are too fat and lazy to come here, they can find another OBAMA 2008 headquarters at the end of every street named after an apostle, or named after a black or half-black man.

or you can find us online at!

tumbleweed.iowa.obama2008.com/9thward/19thdistrict

take our new poll!

Q: HOW MUCH DO YOU HATE HILLARY?

A: 1) A lot
2) A whole lot
3) OMG I just busted a vein! Stop it!

Q: WHO IS OBAMA RUNNING AGAINST?
A: 1) Republicans
2) The failed policies of Bush/Cheney
3) HILLARY! HILLARY! Devil Bitch HILLARY!

CORRECT ANSWERS: 3) and 3)

I live in New York, and at the very least both Sen. Clinton and Sen. Schumer know their are areas outside of New York City and they do visit Upstate often. Moynihan, Javits, & D'Amato never showed their faces upstate only asked for money at election time., and that was by mail. Yes, I am happy with Hillary and Chuck.

Can someone please tell me what experience Hillary, Edwards, or O'Bama has? I'd really like to know. What experience does either have to be President of the United States. Someone please enlighten me and I may can see why I should vote for either one of them. Biden seems to be the one with the most experience.

NO HILLARY MILHOUS NIXON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope Obama or Edwards can beat her. She is just a continuation of the same bullshit that has been going on for the past 18 years. Voting for her is the exact same thing as casting a vote for Bush.

Actually as the normally very astute Stu Rothenburg points out nothing much happened despite the hyperbole from the press who are desperate to preserve the appearance of a horse race. Obama went up by 3 points, Clinton didn't move and Edwards went down four points all in the margin of error. They remain statistically tied although if you look at the trend lines it's hard to argue that Edwards isn't falling off the radar. All of this ignores the elephant in the room which is why Clinton has a huge strategic advantage. Namely she can afford a second place in IA because within 30 days she is going to clean up a raft of states where she has huge leads. The notion that a narrow win in Iowa by Obama changes this fundamental dynamic seems highly suspect. This strategic trump is so obvious you have to wonder why the press doesn't talk about it. Preserving the horse race fiction is more important I guess.

Obama doesn't have a prayer against satan.

Obama is the GOP's wet dream. He is the perfect candidate for them to actually win against. Inexperienced, like no one the Dems have EVER run, and untried by any measure.

Giuliani, Romney, McCain, Huckabee, even Thompson; every one would have Obama for lunch in a general election.
This is all a very sick joke, just like the Nader bandwagon in 2000.

We need to get serious here. When we do, Biden or Dodd will be the one we chose who can win in November.

Obama Pulling A Head of Hillary...

How alarming, is the other one screaming at him for that?
08:49 AM on 11/20/2007
ANYBODY BUT HILLARY !

Fact: Most New York Democrats have contempt for her and are upset that she is used her NY Senate Seat as a springboard into a run for the WhiteHouse.
08:28 AM on 11/20/2007
One poll out of about 50 that are out there shows a statistical dead heat with Obama ahead and that magically becomes a lead? What kind of crappy reporting is this? No one is ahead in Iowa yet!

And be very leery of the "second choice candidate" numbers since the polls ask everyone who the second choice is, but it only matters for those getting below 15% of the vote. In other words, the real number is the one produced by supporters of candidates other than Clinton, Obama and Edwards since they all poll above 15%. None of their supports will have to pick a second choice, so the number in this and all other polls, as it pertains to second-choice candidates, is complete and utter rubbish.

Polls about nothing with 40% margin of error and 80% did not get called ?
