Dr Jan Adams

AP:

A plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West's mother the day before she died abruptly walked off CNN's "Larry King Live" during an interview Tuesday with the talk show host.

Dr. Jan Adams said he initially agreed to speak with King to clear up what he said were inaccurate reports about him in the news media. But he said West's family asked him not to appear on the show.

Sad, another Black man's career bites the dust but it looks, so far, like he deserves it.

Donda West was a GOOD woman. She raised a loving, strong and independent son and the students and faculty at the university she taught at loved her. If Donda also had faith in Jesus Christ then she's with God, which is nothing to be sad about. Amen.

Nocontest- Kanye deplores violence and guns in his lyrics, specifically, and has never spoke of any gang affiliation. You are mean and mistaken.

Weapons of Mass Distraction. I can't believe we are allowing the MSM to distract us from important issues AGAIN. Who cares about this story?

1. why blame CNN/larry king? if Adams believe he's being exploited, he could've declined the invitation. by accepting the invitation, that's an implication to accept the questioning that comes with a talk show. also, he fully knows that larry king's invitation of him onto the show is all about West's incident, cuz larry is not bored enough to bring Adams on simply to sell his comestics surgery practice to prospect clients, so he can't even use a "i wasn't expecting this question" as a defense...

2. he has full rights to respect his client's privacy, and he could've just stated that. walking off a show is very unprofessional, and has nothing to do with the client being "uncomfortable" or "not ready," but has everything to do with Adams failing to handle larry's questions in a professional manner. For being a real doctor, you would think they should've taught basic etiquette in medical school.

3. some people on the forum blame this on "MSM"... so if Adams walked of FoxNews or some small talk radio channel, would those forum posters have double standards?

4. CNN, like the rest of the media, like to report news and find out the truth, and has nothing to do with "exploiting." if there has been possible malpractice, they want to expose the truth. The fact that Adams had a record of DUI charges and malpractice settlements make the story that much more intriguing and the accusations that much more plausible.

Just wanted to put this out there again to keep things in perspective. All this media hype is to be expected, but let's not lose sight of what's truly important -- namely, not how one died, but rather how one lived and continues to live on even after passing.

"In Memoriam - Dr. Donda C. West

Kanye West, his family and friends would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother, Dr. Donda West.

After working in higher education for 31 years, Dr. Donda West and Kanye West co-founded the Kanye West Foundation with the mission of helping to combat the severe dropout problem in high schools across the country. The first and signature initiative of the Kanye West Foundation is Loop Dreams. Designed to capitalize on students existing interest in hip-hop, Loop Dreams challenges students to learn more about what’s behind hip-hop culture in order to help them develop skills, express themselves creatively and be empowered.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. West's name to the Kanye West Foundation/Loop Dreams Teacher Training Institute.

Please mail your greatly appreciated tax-deductible donation to:

i think i may have some sort of masochistic bent coming here as often as i do. when bill maher was still doing "politically incorrect" ms huffington would occasionally come on doing her best arch-conservative schtick (taking nothing away from what was then her political beliefs). she had fire in her belly, there was no arguing that fact, and she was a force to be reckoned. ms huffington grew weary of the behavior of corporate and political elites thus, new beliefs began to take root until shedding new skin as read in "pigs at the trough". she slammed the mundacities of elite behavior and beliefs, and i said to myself she was now even more of that force; that maybe her growing disdain would galvanize something a little more pure and authentic. but, as the "huffington post" evolves, a growing sense of disappointment and distrust replaces the distorted faith i had placed in her as a public entity and the managing editor of a blog that i have viewed as evolving into a new "national tattler". oh, i'll still visit from time to time, but now only to see how much more absurd the posts become because there is hardly anything of value here that one cannot get from other sources.

I was just thinking that it's kind of crude for the headline to say "Kanye's Dead Mother" instead of just "Kanye's Mother". I mean, we all know she's dead.

But then I thought, oh, hell, I'm just being picky.

And then I saw on the Entertainment page that Kanye said "F*** the media" during his gig tonight.

I think the headline was in poor taste.

I couldn't watch more than five minutes of this circus. Just when you thought that our MSM cannot go lower after the Scott Peterson case, here they go again.

A poor woman makes a horrible decision to have a body overhaul like a 1967 Mustang and pays with her life. Sad? Sure. But it also says something about our rich people and how they think. They think money can solve anything, even an inconvenient medical advice. Donda West ignored the medical advice given by another doctor and she had her way and went to another one who fulfilled her wish. With tragic consequences.

I do feel bad for her. But I also feel bad for the rats, monkeys and other animals who will pay with their life in the near future. Cause you know the rich people will fund research to avoid similar things that might just happen to them. I'll bet you anything that some assholes are making a monkey fat just to perform the same types of surgery in a record 30 minutes and see what happens. After all, we need answers. And the rich won't take the "vanity will get you killed" as an answer.

The arrogance of that SOB.

Settles with a patient for rape and impregnating her.

Multiple DUIs.

Now, appearing on Larry King for clear preventative spin, and can't handle it.

QUACK!

Correction, DEADLY Quack!
