In the race for presidential endorsements, Mike Huckabee has the kitschy pop culture celebrity vote on lockdown.

First it was martial arts hero and "Walker, Texas Ranger" star Chuck Norris, who appears with Huckabee in his first TV ad.

Then hard-rocking hunting enthusiast Ted Nugent jumped on the Huckabee bandwagon, citing the Republican's support for second amendment rights.

Ric Flair Surrenders
Wrestling's "Nature Boy" booked for Charlotte road rage incident
NOVEMBER 29--Wrestler Ric "The Nature Boy" Flair surrendered this morning to North Carolina cops on misdemeanor charges that he throttled a fellow motorist during a road rage incident last week on Interstate 485. The 56-year-old Flair (real name: Richard Fliehr) was booked this morning at the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office, where the below mug shot was snapped. Flair, who allegedly grabbed a Charlotte man by the throat and kicked (and dented) the guy's Toyota during the November 23 confrontation, posted $1000 bond and was released. According to an arrest warrant, after roughing up Robert Steele, Flair told him that he "had his tag number and should knock the shit out of him." Flair is facing simple assault and battery and injury to personal property charges.

Day by day, Mike Huckabee is defining anew, "What leadership looks like!" ( http://snipr.com/leaderlook ). With an endorsement close on the heel's of Chuck Norris's, Ric Flair's pro-Huck proclamation is nothing to wrestle about. The man sees that Huck's got a great platform - especially the part about (what Chuck Norris said in HuckChuckFacts at YouTube) eliminating theiRS.
Of immediate concern is the taxing of business income and payroll. Businesses attempt to recoup these costs by embedding them in their prices, which are ultimately paid by consumers. This pernicious system of "hidden taxation" accounts for 22 cents of every retail dollar spent by consumers. This gives Congress a "lever" to extract money from businesses, via lobbyists, to secure "tax favors" resulting in
¢ an increasingly complex, and expensive, tax code
¢ higher prices (*or* lesser dividends to shareholders/401Ks/public retirement funds, *or* lost jobs to employees - where foreign competition will not let a company raise prices)
¢ exports not price-competitive, globally ( http://snipurl.com/tradeinequityblog )
¢ company relocation to foreign countries with lower costs
¢ foreign products going untaxed upon entry into the U.S.
How serious is this situation? Dr. Laurence Kotlikoff is on record ( http://snipr.com/meltdowninprogress ) that, unless citizens' true tax costs are made visible by virtue of enacting the FairTax, politicians will continue to pit rich against poor, individuals against corporations, while they spend us into ruin.

Wait! I have a Rick Flair story!
My son beat the kid who beat Ric Flair's son in high school wrestling at a tournament in Winston-Salem N.C.

Well, look at it this way: Glenn Jacobs (Kane) and Sean Morley (Val Venis) have both endorsed Dr. Paul, and now Richard Fleihr (Ric Flair) endorses the Huckster. Endorsements happen, and it's just part of the game.

You know you have a winner when you have the only 80 year old turkey in professional wrestling on your side...

Wait a minute. If Rudy is courting the NASCAR crowd and Huckabee is courting the Pro Wrestling fans, aren't they both after the same group of incurious, uninformed, never-read-a-book, yahoos? Who is courting the bowlers and the paint-ball enthusiasts?

Who watches pro wrestling anyway? It is just an excuse for overgrown men on roids to get greased up and grope each other. Kind of gay if think about it.
