Oprah To Hit The Campaign Trail For Obama

Chicago Sun-Times :

Oprah Winfrey is poised to campaign for White House hopeful Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) in Iowa and New Hampshire, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned.

Obama made the disclosure while working a crowd at Central High School here, after delivering an education policy speech. A man, Ralph Hoagland, asked Obama--who was mingling and shaking hands-- if Oprah was going to stump for Obama in New Hampshire.

Oprah brings alot of baggage along with her ( the country seems divided between those who still worship Oprah as Goddess and those who see behind the curtain) and I'm not sure that she's doing Obama any favors. Can Oprah convey that Obama is * black like me* ( see: a "safe black or a black who is just like your average person" ) and persuade racists that there is nothing to be *afraid of*? ( it seems to me that this is her purpose and how sad that our country still has stupid race issues which it does)Or will Oprah alienate Obama from voters by her sense that her word is or should be informative. Here in the NE ? Oprah doesn't matter a hill of beans and I's venture to say that we'd be outraged if she attempted to *teach us* about Obama. I hope that she doesn't harm his canidacy. Seriously.

$59 box of 9 cupcakes kinda made me puke a little in my mouth. Oh, but there was a $4,000 fridge to keep them in along with the blood-red orange sherbets. Must be southern living, I don't get it. Make your own damn cupcakes ladies. That tv in the fridge is only keeping your apron strings tied to the oven, get it?

The irony is that 40% of Macon watches her daily. She made a point of tell us, and a point of saying they have everyone's name and address (to send the cupcakes to), so the taxman'll know exactly who got what. And at what price for that windfall tax.

Half the IRS staff will be profiling those returns next year, watch.

Say what you want to say about Oprah. But NO ONE can deny she is an absolute phenomenol orator. She can captivate audiences like no one can. And no one can deny her influence.

She may not be able to convince people to vote for Obama but she definitely can introduce him to the masses and allow people to hear and see what a great man he is and how we need him as president. People listen to this woman!

What a joke. The ONLY people who would care who Oprah supports for president, are the weak minded and gullable dim-wits in her audience. Oprah really needs to "get over herself".

Oprah does not speak for Black America, White America, or America in general, she lost touch with the vast majority of America long ago.

Oprah can campaign for Obama all she wants, but it won't matter one way or the other...maybe instead she should try getting that school of hers together, and stop letting criminals in there to abuse the kids that attend.
