Brendan Fraser raised eyebrows with his thick middle part in China over the weekend. Fraser, 38, was in Shanghai at a photo op to celebrate the last day of filming the third Mummy movie. The Evening Standard/Daily Mail made this 2003 and 2007 comparison:

While blogger DListed likened Fraser's new 'do to that of John Travolta.

Rachel Weisz opted out of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and has been replaced by Maria Bello

I have to admit, I'm not entirely certain why balding considered so...unsightly? I'm balding myself, at the ripe age of 35 no less, but as long as you take care of it, I think you can make it look very good. Not to mention dignified. It all seems very shallow to me to be so worried about hair loss when it is a natural state of progression in a person's lifetime.

Why is male pattern baldness so cruel and ugly?

Yech.

I'm glad I'm a woman. My husband still has a full head of hair....for now. I swear I think our testosterone levels are higher in the past several decades. Even women are getting thinning hair.

So Fraser wants to look good. There's nothing wrong in that. If he shaved his head he would look better but to have a few wisps of hair here and there isn't attractive at all. Why worry though? It's been said Fraser has the biiggest 'head' in Hollywood. :)

This is an incredible story! Someone adding fake hair to their head? Preposterous!

I have also heard rumors that some women in Hollywood paint colored grease on their lips to make them seem redder - and even smear colorant into their eyebrows and on their eyelids in an effort to deceive us into thinking they are more beautiful! Amazing!

Who would have thought anyone would go to so much effort to change how they look? I'm glad HuffPo has decided to make fun of everyone who does these silly things!

Jason Stathom doesn't need to wear a hairpiece.

Holy crap on a cracker. The pic on the left reminded me of Walter Koenig from "Star Trek." Brendan, dude, get some plugs put in or something! You're scaring the little children!

BF's natural look looks like a forest in winter. He needs to take some styling tips from the Donald.....Now that's the real look..

Hair pieces on movie stars have been around a long time... Jimmy Stewart wore one... Bob Hope... Burt Lancaster... the list is long, and seldom mentioned. Everything in Hollywood is fake... but of course, you knew that... didn't you?

Fraser's after pic hair has great styling, unlike those horrible long bangs that Tom Cruise has been sporting.

Hey, my hubby's balding rapidly but he's still a fantastic lover and I find him very sexy! His pretty blue eyes and hairy chest turn me on. Don't knock it till you try it girls! He's too macho to wear hair pieces or get hair plugs but I won't knock those who get them.
