A Senate chairman acknowledged explicitly on Thursday that President Bush was not involved in the firings of U.S. attorneys last winter and therefore ruled illegal the president's executive privilege claims protecting his chief of staff, John Bolten, and former adviser Karl Rove.

Leahy directed Bolten, Rove, former political director Sara Taylor and her deputy, J. Scott Jennings, to comply "immediately" with their subpoenas for documents and information about the White House's role in the firings of U.S. attorneys.

Mr. Leahey,

MR. Rove can and will do anything he pleases. He is 12 months away from a Complete and Totat Pardon.

Democrats have either failed or joined the conspiricy to loot the Nation of its treasures.

Impeach or face World War III.

Leahy is full of beans. The president does not have to allow presidential advisers to testify in front of congress.

Don't tell us, tell Him.(Rove) I am so sick of this Club of old rich w people! An act of congress never took this much time before. Now I can see why the young progressives want a complete change, even if it is Obama. If they look old to me, you know they look old to our youth. Powder old! And 50 should now be the limit. That's a long time in this hurry-up oriented world.

If there is a will there is a way isn't that an american saying? Is there anyone with the will and backbone to get together and do a special investigator. Not fitz as he turned out to be a bush player not a real deal straight shooter like they played him to be. Let us focus on clean up as the next president will have the same dirt slime underneath whatever is done by them until the cupboards are cleaned out and disinfected. Push the numbers on the phone write emails and lets start the clean up beofre they all leave town or the country.

Karl Rove illegally got his incompetent buddy into the White House. They used every dirty trick in the book. And look what it got them.

They are jokes around the entire planet. Anyone who believes anything that comes out of Rove's or Bush's mouth is an idiot.

I can't believe the people at Newsweek are so stupid to understand that point.

I don't care how they deconstruct this administration -but they better start doing so at a faster pace. Personally I think knocking the top layer off the pyramid of deciet would be quicker and bring about the results we need to get off this path of national destruction. this admin is literally and figuratively killing US!

A question on executive power:
The president can pardon someone convicted of crimes and can commute sentences imposed by judges; Can he also issue amnesty for someone who is under or faces indictment and would that amnesty need to specify the crimes committed or could it be the blanket sort?

Thank you. Its high time that snivelling little swine gets federal jail time. The man is beyond evil. If we can get cheney and bush, there won't be a pardon either. I hope he remembers not to drop the soap, then again, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
