Presidential hopeful Delaware Sen. Joe Biden stated unequivocally that he will move to impeach President Bush if he bombs Iran without Congressional approval....

...."The President has no authority to unilaterally attack Iran and if he does, as foreign relations committee chairman, I will move to impeach," said Biden, which was followed by a raucous applause.

Another threat from the Dems. Excuse me if I don't believe you will actually do it. All the dems do is threaten...no action. You already have plenty of reason to impeach. Do it now.

Joe Biden is giving a major speech tomorrow in Iowa about Iran. Senator Hegel gave a major speech two weeks ago about Iran. They are not focused on Iran for no reason what so ever. Hegal quotes Bush as saying Iran could be the start of WWIII.

Plaese check out this site. It's hard to believe it is happening again.

Martial law declared in Pakistan; state of emergency in Georgia; Turkey threatens to invade Iraq; six members of the Afghan parliament along with scores of others killed in one of Afghanistan"s largest ever suicide attacks; an escalating drumbeat of U.S.-Iran tensions; seventy six U.S. Senators supported a resolution urging the President to designate an entire branch of Iran"s military as a terrorist organization¦and the President announced unprecedented unilateral sanctions against Iran"s forces; and, finally, President Bush warned of World War III unless Iran acts to stop its efforts to develop a nuclear weapons capability.

There is a reason Bush has been meeting with leaders in the Middle EAst and its not to settle the Isreal Palestinian issue. It's about Iran and what kind of consensus Bush can get for....

Gosh I wish the news we got was not just dribble about some murder that happened to one person 24/7....

With Wolfowitz back in the State Department making decisions on the war, we'll probably see Biden's threat come to pass pretty soon.

IMPEASCHMENT
HAPPENS
IN THE
HOUSE of
REPRESENTATIVES.

Dear Joe,
You're a Senator. You can't impeach! You can vote guilty/or not ON an impeachment before you IF, and only IF, the House of Representatives move to impeach.

p.s.
Reading the Constitution helps clear this up.
Defending it, from "within" is also part of your Oath of Office, as stated in the Constitution, in case you've forgotten.
http://www.senate.gov/artandhistory/history/common/briefing/Oath_Office.htm

QUESTION:
Just how is Joe Biden "supporting and defending the Constitution of the U.S.A." from "domestic enemies" of that Document?

ANSWER:
With much mental reservation and obvious evasion.

I don't care if Biden is b.s.-ing. I just want someone - ANYBODY - to get the discussion going and up off the curb where Pelosi smacked it down to its knees. Just talk about it...make it a doable, possible outcome. That might just put backbone into the debate, even now, even this close to the election. Biden has always been a blowhard. Maybe now that penchant may have some real value.

http://edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0207/31/se.01.html

Please, please check out this website which are CNN's transcripts of interviews with key players leading up to the War in Iraq.

Biden with the support of Hegel in July of 2002 (Powell went before the UN in September of 2002, the War resolution was voted on by Congress in October of 2002, and Bush gave his now famous speech about the intelligence in January of 2003, began to bomb Iraq in March of 2003). So, before all this happend, Biden and Hegel started Senate Congressional Hearings to investigate why Bush/Cheney were taking America to war, to find out what reasons Bush had to do so, what evidence Bush had of WMD, how bush planned to occupy Iraq, what funds to finance a war Bush was planning to use, etc. Biden tried to get Bush to be held accountable and to be public with what he was doing vs secretive and evasive.

After Powell's speech to the UN in September of 2002 about secret intelligence and tube from Nigeria - the world and Congress were lead to believe there was hard core evidence of WMDs.

Biden and Hegel got written into the War Resolution conditions before the President could act - those conditions were that the President must allow UN inspectors before going to war to determine the truth if Saddam had WMDs. It was on condition that Congress voted for the war. George Bush didn't keep his end of the bargain and went to war without allowing the UN ispectors to complete their job. The fault of the war rests squarely on Bush's head, no one else.

Yes Biden regrets his vote and feels deceived by the President.

Rove is trying to rewrite history because the Bush adminstration resented the Senate Comitteee to investigate Bush's plans for War lead by Biden and Hegel.

You can fault the fact that Biden and Hegel were not successful in stopping Bush, but they both tried more than any other person in Congress other than Daschle - who Rove got rid of.

Biden made a huge mistake ~ as did many others, initially ~ when he voted in favor of invading Iraq. Still, he's not repeating history ~ and that shows rare integrity & courage in a presidential candidate/hopeful. Good for Biden, in standing up to the crooked Bush & Co. and basically telling them to leave Iran alone.

Why are Democrats and Biden this week in particular, working long, hard and PUBLICLY to take even the threat of military action against Iran off the table? It's political theater for the left wing of the Democratic party and nothing more. How does this help US foreign policy?

I think we need to TAKE BACK THE MEDIA so we can own our country again. The mob has stolen the White House with vote fraud, and stolen the Supreme Court and the federal judgeships and are going after the govenors like Ryan and Siegelman.

Biden is heroic here, and I never thought I'd say he was. But that is because Bush crime family are such outrageous genocidal criminals, even Biden can't abide it.

See waynemadsenreport.com on Mukasey and the criminal connection with the Crime Family.

I think this warning by Biden is just what is needed.Someone has to hold his feet to the fire and it will help to have Bush aware that he better not make up some phoney intel to attack Iran or the whole country will demand his impeachment.I believe that Bush is the worst President this nation has ever had but I also think impeachment is the last thing George wants for his legacy. It's odd that Bill Clinton is attacked by Republicans to this day for lying about an affair while George Bush is responsible for more death and criminal activity than you can shake a stick at.Republicans not only protect him but turn a blind eye to all the incompetent cronies he has installed in almost all departments, ruining the fabric of our society in the process.I don't think there is any time in our history since the Civil War that our nation has been so devided and the public displays of rancor so prevalent. Our MSM is nothing more than an organ of this defacto junta and is no longer respected, anywhere.Impeachment is on a lot of peoples minds but most people just want him to go away, they're just tired of being angry.

Okay--fair enough. Clinton was impeached for "lying" about a blowjob. The fact is, however, that the repubs at the time kept digging and digging until they found something that finally stuck. It didn't matter what it was, just so it was humiliating. Bush and Cheney have told worse lies than that virtually every day they've been in office.

Everyone in Bush's cabinet has conducted his or herself in such a way that they could all (and hopefully will all) be prosecuted for various serious crimes.

Biden is already an also-ran. Instead of hedging on the impeachment issue, he should be shouting it forcefully. Holy Ch*st, give us one Dem presidential candidate who will just go for broke.

I think that is a misquote. I think Biden said:'Bomb Iran and I'll each a Peach and watch it on TV'

There isnt one democrat with balls enough to impeach Bush. They preached it last election cycle, we believed them, and the minute they got in they said Impeachment was out of the question.

Same shit, different day.

"A case for impeachment must have clear evidence, Biden said, and blame should be directed at the right parties."

I'm sure this has been pointed out several dozen times already, but the repubs can impeach Clinton for a blowjob, but the dems can't get the votes up to impeach the most dangerous, illegal, lying scoundrel we've ever had sitting in office? If a dem (and I'm sorry--besides Kucinich) would start banging the impeachment drum, not only would he/she gain instant support from a not-insignificant-portion-of-society, but would at long last give us one democrat who has the balls to stand up to for what's right.

Come on, Joe. Your campaign is floundering anyway. Start banging the drum. It can only help.
