Democrats Strip Michigan Of Delegates

AP:

Democratic leaders voted Saturday to strip Michigan of all its delegates to the national convention next year as punishment for scheduling an early presidential primary in violation of party rules.

In spite of the vote, some party leaders and officials said they believed the delegates would eventually be seated at the convention.

First Florida and now Michigan: Democratic party hacks rush to preserve the power of the party machinery at all cost.

The last time the Democratic Party pulled an anti-democratic stunt like this was in 1968. By handing Hubert Humphrey the nomination in spite of the the wishes of the voters, the party lost the general election and its voting base.

I'll vote for Kucinich in the primary, and could never vote for a Republican; but what I don't get is Michigan is a big state which is not safely Democrat. Will this lower the Democratic vote in November? Don't know. But it seems more important than small white states voting first.
