Russians voted Sunday in a parliamentary election where the only question was whether President Vladimir Putin's party would win a strong majority of seats or a crushing share.

The election follows months of increasingly acidic rhetoric aimed against the West and efforts, by law and by truncheon, to stifle opponents.

Now that I come to think of it, I have never read a Huffpo article that had something good to say about Russia. All the news from Russia is twisted and slanted Fox News style. I wonder why?

Perhaps one day in Russia,
there will be a violent and historic revolution.
Do you know what I mean?
I am, of course, advocating a revolution of the people
who overthrow an oppressive regime and who earn their freedom.

...and so it goes...

Bush looked into Putin's eyes and saw his soul. That is one hell of a trick because he has no soul. He is a graduate of the KGB school of good government. He was a KGB thug through out his career. You don't rise to high office in the KGB because you believe in democracy and representative government.

An earlier commenter explained that is is the "Jews Fault". The jewish population in Russia prior to the revolution in 1917 were treated with persecution by the czar and his Cossack thugs. It is not possible to treat people in the manner they were treated and not expect a reaction. They revolted against the Czar and were able as one of many groups able to overthrow his regime. The communist then over threw the short lived representative government that had taken power upon the fall of the Czar. The Communist did not overthrow the Czar. Remember Stalin was training to enter the priesthood before the revolution.

Are there Jewish criminals doing bad things, of course there are. I don't think Putin is protecting the world from a takeover by Jewish criminals. The Jews are not trying to take over the world.

Eman: I have to disagree that Russians are dumb. They happen to be very well read and brighter than many. Great chess players too.

US urges Russia to probe election violations
"Early reports from Russia include allegations of election day violations. We urge Russian authorities to investigate these claims," said White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe.

The Russian people in their overwhelming numbers approve of Putin's policies, admire him for his courage, trust him with the securilty of the nation, and despise the seditious few such as the old Communists and oligarch Jews who have plundered Russia's wealth by criminal acts such the fugitive criminal Beresovsky hiding in London who stole over $9 milliion dollars from the national airline Aeroflot and is backed by the US thanks to American Jews. Putin is a Russian leader for Russians in every sense of the word and his political success has been given to him by the people thmeselves which is more than can ever be said about treacherous George Bush who fraudulently stole the 2000 election by vote manipulation in Florida. Bush is the real dictator and acts like one.¨

Bush was appointed by his Daddy's political appointments after the vote got screwed up in a state run by his brother and a voting comission that had more than just a little conflict of interest. The manufacturer of vote counting machines guarenteed his election in a public speech!
The USA would do well to ask for UN observers for our next election.
The Neo-cons blatently revived Jim Crow with thier name lists, even denying innocent war veterans their right to vote, and have never let up on gerrymandering...
As a loyal American, Putin and his gang are the least of my concerns.
My impression is that there is a whole lot of intimidation going on in Russia and in the USA too.
Now, it will be a whole lot worse for both countries if Paul Wolfowitz has his way.
I wish Bush had half Putin's loyalty to his countrymen, but then he would never have been picked.
