Iran Nuclear Program

The National Intelligence Estimate released on Monday resounded with the authority of 16 American spy agencies in agreement that Iran halted its nuclear arms effort in 2003, a conclusion meant to "ensure that an accurate presentation is available."

But strong contrary opinions on the accuracy of the assessment are emerging from two intertwined camps that have always viewed Iran's nuclear claims with suspicion: American neoconservatives and the Israeli government.

Did notice at least one news show this week showing the satelite picture of an Iranian facility and panning shot to visible buildings as seen from the sky and away from the much larger building complex some show showed recently as over the years being built yet now finished hidden by cleverly covering much larger building complex with contoured earthen roof to match landscape before complex was constructed? Are we supposed to believe what we see from afar? I do hope new intelligence is accurate as sanctions against Iran's economy could end up setting them below North Korea if needed for too long.

Neocons Attack U.S. Iran Report As "Intelligence Scam"

It's True!! Any report that proves that a Republican president is a defacto lier is bad for 'murka, goodness, freedom 'n Jesus.

And since we ALL KNOW that Democratics are born elitist, inna-lecshul Hollywood liers, then it only makes sense that George Bush is a compassionate jet fighter pilot.

it’s all about pre-meditated, criminal acts for OIL, with ignorant, apathetic, american voters as accomplices. the american empire is a continuing danger to the world. who can stop us?

Well, the great "Architect of the War against Iraq" is back. (The World Bank found him too corrupt for even their disgusting organization!) Do you think he will be able to save the day for Bush and his plans for a War against Iran?
Who, besides Israel, is delighted by his Second Coming?

As an adult and full grown man, these second grade explanations to this stuff is an insult. The fact that Bush and the rest of " them " don't care what I think about their ridiculous explanations only furthers my anger. This administration talks to the American people like we are stupid. But what do they care? There's an agenda to be followed and $$$$$$$$ to be made. Oh, I almost forgot,God talks to George.

There is no reason to have any confidence in our intelligence agencies. They got it wrong in Iraq in 2003 - we know that for sure. In 2005 they proclaimed that Iran did have an active program.

Now we are supposed to believe them when they say that program was abandoned in 2003 but Iran continues to enrich uranium. Why? Because they can.

I see no reason to believe yesterday's pronouncements and listening to the spin and the talking heads is a colossal waste of time.

Apparently, the Israelis are on their own now and it will be up to them to find the truth. We will know when Iran crosses the point of no return with respect to production of a nuke because one thing is certain, and that is that Israel will then hit them preemptively with everything they have to stop it from happening.

We sold Israel a massive number of bunker busting bombs recently so they can carry out the mission if that becomes necessary. We are now out of the loop, having been reduced to a second rate client state sitting in the corner waiting just as we were months ago when Israel unilaterally attacked Syria on its own to destroy the mysterious installation on the heels of an even more mysterious shipment of goodies from the North Koreans.

The hands on the nuclear clock are moving closer to midnight but unfortunately, we are blind and don't know how close they are.

The Neoconnservatives have only been giving us their neotruth. They realised that people were tired of the boring old truth. It wasn't creative enough -- of swindle chances and such.
(Don't you consider them a thoughtful bunch? They have taken our old money, too. And given us new troubles. In sum, they have made our lives more interesting! Praise them!)

"...from two intertwined camps that have always viewed Iran's nuclear claims with suspicion: American neoconservatives and the Israeli government."

I think it's time for the 'campers' to stop diddling each other. If the preznutz or vice-dick KNEW for awhile, you can bet your ass the Israelis KNEW for a lot longer.

That means they really 'NEVER' WERE CONCERNED about Iran's "nukular" program, they MOST likely ONLY EVER wanted revenge for Iran's funding of Hezbollah, while the US tax-payer ...is played like a Stradivarius and picks up the tab.

Ledeen would know what an intelligence scam looks like, being one himself.

Interesting that Israel remains suspicious. Given the fact that they have a nuclear arsenal that they shouldn't have I find their protests hypocritical and don't have the slightest sympathy for the claims of their gov. As for Dubya, He wouldn't be out here talking about this if it wasn't going to get out anyway. Neocons deny and bury uncomfortable intelligence. So his comment about a "Great Discovery" with respect to the absense of Irans nuke program is spot on. A great discovery, all right- the whole world sees the bs that he and cheney and rice have passed off on the world for the crap it is.

Hi,

Sort of like when Administration officials went on the Sunday talk shows to speak about Iraqi "mushroom clouds" if the US failed to invade Iraq and topple Saddam.

What do U think?

If this report was approved by 18 security agencies, and expressed doubt about Iran's "Nuclear bomb" capability, contrary to Bushco allegations. I would like to find out the passages Bushco was able to edit out. Or just maybe, this time there is an attempt to speak truth to power, even though the "power" in Wash is deaf, dumb and blind to truth.
