People:

After knocking the movie Knocked Up, in which she starred, as being "a little bit sexist" in a recent interview, Katherine Heigl has clarified to PEOPLE that it was the "best filming experience of my career."

"It's important to me to take a minute and clarify the quote about Knocked Up in Vanity Fair," Heigl, 29, says in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE. "I was responding to previous reviews about the movie the interviewer brought to my attention. My motive was to encourage other women like myself to not take that element of the movie too seriously and to remember that it's a broad comedy.

The $150 million dollar hit Knocked Up uses exaggerated situations that ring incredibly true with the aim of humor over political correctness. Duh. It was not supposed to be a reality statement.

When was the last funny movie you saw that portrayed people just as they really are? By the way, the filmmaker/writer gave all the really bitchy nasty shrew lines to his own wife who acted with Ms. Heigl as her bitchy sister. If anyone should be offended it would be her, but she is smart enough to see the humor in unmasking her exaggerated self and carried it off very well.

Obviously, Ms Heigl and her interviewer are more interested in hearing themselves bitch about her only boxoffice success, which will surely guarantee that nobody involved with making that film or other feature filmmakers wanting their actress to always promote their film, want to work with her again.

Way to go genius! You're no longer a humorless shrew but more likely an out of work actress. A role that is more fitting to your high standards of what a character should be like when written for the screen.

I watched this movie last weekend and it was sexist. It was also not a very funny comedy and I wouldn't have thought of it as a comedy if it didn't say it was one on the box. Really though, why would a beautiful, intelligent, and professional woman allow herself to get stuck with a guy that was such an obvious loser. The film was a total male fantasy. And the women were portrayed as humorless harpies. But, in Hollywood, the only opinion you are entitled to is "everything is great, everyone is great, every director is brilliant". It was nice to see a bit of honest for once.

Knocked up
Box Office Total: $148,734,225

Opening scene of probable sequel... Seth Rogan looks sadly down at a baby and then over at an urn full of mommy dust on the mantle.

Hollywood is full of actresses who look like they are out of Seth Rogan's league so I'm sure one of them will pop up quite convincingly in the sequel and not a soul will miss Katherine Heigl.

She bites the hand that feeds her-good luck in getting another movie. If the movie flops, that probably her career

What she really meant to say is that, yes, the movie is sexist but good for her career.

I'm guessing she didn't catch her freudian slip about "remembering...it's a broad comedy."

Cat's out of the bag on that one...

"I stand by my opinion' (you know, when I implied that on the basis of the film, the filmmakers view women as humorless shrews)- but uh, yeah! best movie experience of my life! Uh- everyone was very encouraging! You guys will consider hiring me again someday, won'tcha? Hey guys- where'd ya go? Hey- wait up a second..."

Try as you may, you just can't un-ring a bell.
