We have a bunch of male pussies on this thread, for those who love boxing...THANKS!

For the women...give me a break! I don't see you having a problem with Lorena Bobbit.

A lot of people with nothing to do. I would rather spend quality time with my family

Yeah, it's amazing what a nosejob and cheek implants and god knows what else will do for appearance.

Boxing in this day and age seems anachronistic to me. I'll take a good MMA bout over this anyday.

if boxing offends you or is just too "primal" to you, don't watch it. i really hope those of you who don't like watching boxing don't watch football which i think is just as violent. these guys who get into it know the risks and don't have guns put to their heads to fight.
that was a terrible wrestling match, uh i mean boxing match last night anyway and wasn't worth watching.

Chavez vs. Bush. I'd watch that fight.

Some of you guys really are pussies. i'm as liberal as anybody but a few on here are nutjobs. Boxing has been a sport longer than football, basketball, hockey, et al. It's been celebrated forever. All moviestars have been going to these fights since the beginning of the twenthieth century.

compared to some of the reality TV they show now boxing is really tame. will be 75 in a few days and i have always enjoyed watching a good prize fight, cant afford the pay per view so got on the computer and checked out the live round by round comments, just disappointed that Hatton didn't win he fights with so much heart and is just a regular blue collar worker like most. how ever glad it didn't go to the judges to decide as they don't always get it right.

In my callow youth I used to be able to watch fights.

Now I cannot bear to watch two men trying to pummel each other into submission without a great deal of distress and disgust-I flip the channel quickly every time I see a fight.

Of course I'm the kind of wimp who doesn't like any movie with too much violence and even flips the animal channel when the leopard closes in on it's prey.

I even put spiders outside rather then killing them.

If two people knowingly consent to doing something that will harm nobody else, I say so be it. How can you possibly compare boxing to dogfighting, which pits unconsenting beings against each other, to the death. At least in boxing they count you out or call off the match.

Boxing is a barbaric sport- eventually even Howard Cossell said so.

It's primal and savage- and yes there's such a thing as an art to it, BUT this type of thing should be a thing of the past.- like hangings in the town square

I'm totally in favor of abolishing it along with bull fighting (utterly stupid) and "sport" hunting -the most cowardly of activities among the deluded whack jobs who "practice it-

Our modern societies have to evolve past getting turned on by the demise -symbolic or otherwise of another human being or beings.

I say all this not from a distance- I grew up witness to serious violence, fighting in mean streets and at some point getting in the ring as a teenager, I can't imagine the shock to the system these people receive- even when you do this in top condition.

The silliest part here are those dopy celebrities who mindlessly attend this sort of thing- this might've been less ridiculous in the 50s, but ridiculous nonetheless.

And then the arm chair kooks who comment in favor as if they know what they are talking about and who most likely never risk anything.

Is it just me, or is Kid Rock the only celeb that actually looks like he fits in?
