It is a shame that the democrats in congress are not paying attention to this very dangerous situation. I don't believe the banana republic could be this bad. If the elderly can no longer afford medication; then how in the hell can the the younger, unstable? Someone needs to haul the social security administration (a lot of this is SSI people waiting on benefits) before Waxman. There is no movement at all with this Federal Agency. Remember the privitization of it?

i really like the hippy peace/love/dove no guns ideal but folks... it just ain't gonna happen. it's too late. America is armed to the teeth and making them illegal isn't gonna solve any problems. and what to do you all propose? that the police should kick in the front doors of the American citizenry so to confiscate weapons? of course, only those who have legally and responsibly registered their guns would be the ones with their doors kicked in while criminals get to keep their guns. gee ... that sounds great!

sorry ... but with our government acting like it wants to be fascist and criminals armed better than the cops theres been few times in American history when having guns and knowing how to use them has been more important. and besides, not everyone lives in suburbia, ya know. i have livestock to protect.

We need a comprehensive national health care program which includes treatment for the mentally ill or distrubed.

Our prison system is the default option for the mentally ill in this country and it's wrong.
