Scarborough Likens "Holocaust Deniers" To "Giuliani Deniers"

Today on "Morning Joe," Joe Scarborough likened Holocaust deniers to...Giuliani deniers? It's an unlikely analogy, but, as Scarborough stated,
It seems to me you have your Holocaust deniers...and then you have your Giuliani deniers. And Giuliani deniers will tell you he had nothing to do with September 11th. Giuliani deniers will tell you he had nothing to do with cleaning up New York City in the 1990s. ... Is this not a problem for Democrats going forward? Because I hear it time and time again, and it's just a narrative that doesn't sell.

Apt comparison, or a bit of a stretch? Watch:

It is curious to note that despite the continuous whine about the liberal media, that same media always finds a home for folks like Morning Joe. It is difficult for the non-right wing to grasp how lock step they are with their talking points: "Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve", "These colors don't run", "The price of freedom is not free", "We are fighting for our way of life"... you get the picture.
I recently posted a piece on the Demoinesregister.com where I mentioned the ICRC report on Gaza, only to receive a reply from a reader that the Palestinians are the cause of their own problems.
It does sadden me that people go the cynical root and decide that their fellow citizens are idiots. Many a politician thinks that way too. And hey, I am just a beer writer, how I got involved in all of this political stuff?Let's just say I stumbled upon one thing after another. Am I naive? To the Morning Joe crowd, that would be obvious. Am I idealistic? In spite of all unbridled cynicism, I would have to say yes. As Leonard Cohen once said: "Love is the only engine of survival."

Did Guiliani clean up New York? Let's look at the reality of the situation. First of all New York is not just Manhattan, and although its jurisdiction stops at the Bronx and Queens County lines, the Metropolitan area extends out to Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Bergan, Hudson and Union counties. Some might add others. Here's what Guiliani really did: through tax abatements and incentives, he turned Manhattan into a playground for the rich. The poor were forced out, often into communities like Mount Vernon or Hempstead. The poor took their problems of drug usage and crime with them. Guiliani didn't get rid of crime; he sent it some place else. You can find it if you take MetroNorth or the Long Island Railroad or even the subway to the still ungentrified parts of the city, but do it in the daylight. Or you can just go on gulping down the BS on Morning Joe.

some one should tell joe, the problem is giuliani betraying new yorkers for his corporate masters and making a financial killing on their bones and parlaying a walk down the street into a bid for the presidency. i also don't care for him trying to put his whorish "wife", who is as mercenary as nancy reagan ever was in the position once held by eleanor roosevelt, jacqueline kennedy, dolly madison, and other great first ladies

Morning, Joe??? Apparently, the ads for his show reflect that 'joe', the common vernacular for java, coffee, is supposed to be alert, wired, ready for the day to dispense, discuss and debate INTELLIGENTLY FOR THE VIEWER.....

Joe Scarbrough is NOT THAT MAN! How tripe and adolescent can he become....embarrassing!
Sad! pathetic! Irrelevant! and 'UNTRUE'..
Joe's republican 'roots' have him
ROOTED IN THE CACOPHONY, LITANY AND
DELUSION of the Republican fascist mantra and mindset! We have heard that for 7 seven years and look at where our nation has come...
THAT'S ENOUGH DELUSION, PREVARICATION AND BRAVADO FOR A LIFETIME-
Get with the 21st century or get out of the way!
BYE, BYE, JOE!

With the thing about cleaning up NY, it started before Rudy was in office and Rudy just kept going with it. It is not like Rudy did it all by himself or initiated it. With the 9-11 thing, there was some big time criticism of Rudy. Just ask the firefighters of New York. Another thing this Scarborough guy is an assault on intellectual senses. He just pulls stuff out of his butt, you start to watch him it is going good then Bam! He just says something so moronic it causes an epileptic fit.

Banjo-Boy (as Don Imus used to call him, invoking the image of the weird kid in "Deliverance") got into an embarrassing tussle yesterday with Mika Brzezinski (a class act) and David Shuster (one of NBC's best reporters) on the subject of -- drum roll -- TORTURE. The moron stuck his foot so far down his own throat, weaseling around for justifications, that it looked like he might expire. Shuster and Brzezinski looked like they were struggling to keep from walking off camera.

Time for MSNBC to smell the coffee, dump this annoying moron and restore its A.M. property value. Brzezinski and Willie Geist could easily carry the time slot without mumbling Joe, who frustrates every story with his inane ramblings.

Holocaust deniers are akin to people who still believe the government's story about 9/11. Rudy is up to his eyeballs in it. Who gave him advance warning that those buildings were going to collapse, as he told Peter Jennings? Who could predict such a phenomenon, besides someone connected to the actual demolition.

Morning Joe...more like morning joke! How could they replace an icon like IMUS with Joe and his show? Joe's a nice guy...but not in this time slot when we want to get up and rollin' and need to have some serious and quick-minded hosts to engage us to get us goin' for our day. And that t.v. spot has an enormous demographic of viewers. It's not just "radio", it's TV! Imus and his staff gave us an amazing menu of political talk. Every morning at 6 a.m., my TV was ON! Also, the crazy and bizarre comedy, the back and forth with the staff, the really sharp whit (and so early in the a.m.). Hey, it worked. I miss "watching" Imus and his cohorts. He made a mistake. He was wrong. He knows it. He's back. They should give Joe's show to Mika Brzezinski! I think she has the intelligence, whit and ability to change that program.
Joe's comment about Rudy...he needs to either get up earlier, have more coffee or just hire a good writer/editor/. Who knows? But, Joe has an appeal, maybe not for this.

Redneck Joe's twisted logic is beyond comment.

Every time he opens his mouth he gives any honorable General Manager more than sufficient reason to put the plug on his program. But he is on MSNBC, so . . .

Woops. Looks like Ol' Joe has jumped the rails.

This may well become a benchmark for stretching WW2/holocaust analogies to the breaking point.
