Rudy Giuliani

CNN:

Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that waterboarding should not be used regularly in interrogations, but might be called for in a "once in a lifetime, once in a decade situation."

"Having looked at this, it certainly should not be a practice that should go on generally," the former mayor of New York said in an interview in Columbia, Missouri.

i say let him volunteer to try it and then hold a contest where the winner gets to be the one that pours the water. i bet the New York firemen would be first in line. We could donate the fee to them.

Take a look at a page from this summary article with information about Giuliani's suspicious behavior on the day of the 9/11 attacks..

You know, why stop at waterboarding? How about hanging people from their thumbs? It can very therapeutic AND you also get doubtful information from the thumbhanger.

PS...I can see Guiliani and Bush Jr, in hades debating with the Nazi war criminals on how torture was ok, not so bad, end justified the means, and how they all were just misunderstood patriots, nationalists, defending their countries agendas...or their particular political party agenda, it is truly telling that only Mcain whom knows what torture is first hand, is against this abomination in our democracy, and so many of the tough republican chicken hawks who never even put on a uniform advoate such evil...

Guiliani, the infamous nyc mayor, drag queen, flip flopper on issues, multiple adulterer, has no morality like his buddy George Walker Bushjr, they both see torture as insignificant, not so bad, not surprising, since both men have nor real morals, just greed and ambition for power, Guiliani no doubt appeals too the sadists in our society, who get some sick perverted pleasure out of things like Abu Gharib prison scandal, and water boarding, truly these things and those who seem too see no wrong in them, tell one a lot about ones inner soul, humanity, they are lacking in both areas...

Can we assume that Rudy also thinks that we should send a heart felt apology to the Japanese Gov’t for having convicted some of their soldiers as war criminals for water boarding Americans during WW II ??? Maybe Rudy thinks we should pay them restitution too ????

There is something sadistly funny about this jerk, brought down by "flu like symptoms" commenting on waterboarding.

I say we get him scheduled for a session right away. That way, he'll know exactly when it would be right to use this particular form of torture. Maybe we should get him in the right frame of mind by having some sleep deprivation first.

You Americans really crack me up. Really. You always have like an obsession going on. Now among others is "waterboarding" You not only know the term but you have to become a "water board" specialist. You HAVE to because you are bombarded by the media. You see waterboard pictures, waterboard articles, candidates responding to waterboard questions, you learn when waterboarding was first used and who gae it that name....you get to know all about waterboarding.

What gets me is "WHO" cares, not even the people that have been water boarded care about that much detailor who used the term first. Who the f*** cares about THE SPECIFICS about how these people were being tortured.
OH That is another one...the T word. What the f*** you Americans thought we were doing in Guantanama (and all) Having tea? Making pancakes? Organizing the mid day craft activity? Well, DUH

Do something instead. How many of you who hae actually leaned the term "waterboarding' have actually written a letter of protest or done anything oher thatn discuss it.

You lose all this time lightning after-the-fact candles and investigating" and getting more specific details instead of paying attention to the many issues that this Majestic -about-to -fall-Country is facing!

Compared to having two ex-wives and your own kids hate you, maybe waterboarding isn't so bad.

I guess what Rudy is saying is that torture comes in many forms. But the kind Bush practices is against the law, and that's the distinction he doesn't comprehend.
