The whole idea of putting an endorsement out there when he throws the towel in is kind of insulting to the people who supported him. First, it assumes they need to be told where to go now, as if they don't have their own opinions on the matter. Second, it almost makes fun of them for having supported him thus far: "...by the way, all that hard work you did for me, well you should have done it for Mitt Romney, because that's who I'm voting for..."

The only opinion Romney has, is that of his "pollsters". Period. He's a used-car salesman, and he'll tell people what he thinks they want to hear.
