A review of classified documents by former members of the Sept. 11 commission shows that the panel made repeated and detailed requests to the Central Intelligence Agency in 2003 and 2004 for documents and other information about the interrogation of operatives of Al Qaeda, and were told by a top C.I.A. official that the agency had "produced or made available for review" everything that had been requested.

The review was conducted earlier this month after the disclosure that in November 2005, the C.I.A. destroyed videotapes documenting the interrogations of two Qaeda operatives.

CIA Withheld Interrogation Tapes From 9/11 Commission; Agency Denies Accusation

Of course they deny the accusation, that's what they do. Put a couple CIA execs on the waterboard since it's so effective and not torture.

This is NOT about revealing torture. What the CIA could not stand (nor could the White House) was that the tapes show the utter paucity of intelligence acquired THROUGH torture. The tapes must have showed how UNPRODUCTIVE torture is. They are happy to be accused of hiding the practice of torture as long as they can maintain the myth that we need the results of it, which are NIL.

Truth movement is actually much stronger in Europe and other regions of the world. Reporters Without Borders places the U.S. as number 48 between Nicaragua and Togo in their index measuring level of press freedom. Top ten are (no surprise) Iceland, Norway, Estonia, Slovakia, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland and Portugal.

The planes were swapped after the transponders were turned off. Just like Kennedy's joint chiefs of staff wanted to swap a civilian airliner with a "painted" military airliner that appeared like a commercial aircraft, down it, then blame it on Cuba (operation northwoods). Or, maybe down a real commercial airliner and then blame it on Cuba. Either way, the idea is very similar. The planes that crashed into the towers were drones. That technology has been around since WWII. Kick in the old autopilot, manipulate the rest. It's that simple. How do you get rid of the drone evidence? Demo the buildings. How do you get the demo evidence cleared out? Tell the people the air is safe to breathe and they need to clean up, then ship the steel to China for smelting.

First I want to know what was on the tapes ,plus the others they still have in their possession. I want to know WHO WHAT WHEN WHERE AND HOW.
I'm not concerned with those under US Military orders. I want not only the officials who gave the orders but also any non military that were involved (politicians & private contractors- top to bottom)If there was a low ranking Blackwater employee involve they should be charged- they would have only sacrificed a job for an act of Patriotism. They do not face Imprisonment for quitting their jobs. That's who this adminstration, Congress and the CIA are protecting- the mercenaries they hired.

CIA Impeded Inquiry by Withholding Interrogation Tapes

Fox News - "Impeded"
New York Times - "Withheld"
Washington Post - "Kept"

These U.S. news agencies, and many more, discretely misled their readers and intentionally avoided using the most blatantly obvious word choice for their headline:

LIED.

I think that the reason why those interrogation tapes were destroyed was not what the news agencies and the media hype they've intentionally created would have you believe, which is to say torture. Or, more accurately, so-called "waterboarding".

It's not about torture, and it never has been.

But that's what they WANT you to believe.

It's never been about having to protect the interrogator's identites on those tapes.

They WANT you to believe it is. Smoke and mirrors.

After all, if someone had told me that overseas CIA interrogator's would have been completely above and beyond using torture as a tool of information extraction from captured Al Qaeda
agents, I would have told them they were nuts. Especially considering these supposed interrogations occured only a year after 9/11. Hell, almost all of America would have supported the torture (and more) if they had known about it. Anyone who truly understands the way the world works, knows that methods of torture are used by clandestine intelligence officers in the field. To believe otherwise is to be totally naive to reality. After 7 long years of this corrupt "administration", the idea of any supposed American moral and ethical high ground has shown to be false, existing only in fairytales for those with closed eyes.

Has the Bush "administration" ever worried that the world would know they tortured captured Al Qaeda? Of course they haven't worried, or cared about any of their seemingly endless criminal activities. (cont'd)

I esecially like where the CIA said they did not give the comission the tapes because they were not specifically requested, but no one on the commission knew they existed. On the other hand the commission had requested all documents pertenant to the interrogations. I guess video tapes are not documents and therefore were not pertinent because they are not paper.

And Lest We Forget...the NIST report on the collapse (controlled demolition) of WTC7 (which the Commission completely ignored) is supposed to be released BEFORE the end of the year.

tick, tick, tick...

This all begs the question: What ELSE did they withhold from the Commission?
