Even though Sherri Shepherd just joined "The View" in September, it's tough to put together a Top 5 Sherri Moments list because she's full of so many wonderful gems. Whether it's condoning domestic violence, advocating corporal punishment, or just getting stumped when asked the difficult question, "Is the world flat?" It seems like every time we tune in she has something crazy to say. For this, we are forever grateful to Barbara Walters and the rest of "The View" staff responsible for her hire.

5) Sherri Condones Men Hitting Women Back
On today's "The View," Sherri Shepherd added to her string of controversial comments by claiming that women should now expect to be hit back if they hit their man. "I just don't think it's right," she said. Watch. http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1272266491http://www.brightcove.com/channel.jsp?channel=1178199204

4) Sherri Condones Hitting Her Kid...Just Not In A "Rich White Folks' Store"
On yesterday's "The View," Sherri Shepherd discussed taking her son Jeffrey to a toy store for "rich white folks" and the embarrassment that ensued when her toddler would not stop crying. http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1348330337http://www.brightcove.com/channel.jsp?channel=1178199204

3) Sherri Discusses How Her Abstinence Is Leading To Sleep Orgasms

2) Sherri Says Christians Came Before Anything Else In History
The ladies on "The View" were talking today about Greek philosophers, happiness, and religion. Sherri, she who doesn't know if the world is flat, also doesn't understand the timeline of basic world history, claiming "Jesus came first before them." http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1329217929http://www.brightcove.com/channel.jsp?channel=1178199204

She is dumb but harmless and as evidenced by the repeated stories on her clearly entertaining....

Now let's get back to the dumb AND dangerous such as this Administration and Bush .

It always amuses and amazes me the sheer volume of posts whenever Sheri Shepard says something ridiculous.

It's like her stupidity pisses people off so much that they just have to comment about her.

It's funny.

This story is completely and 100% relevant and worth the effort. Here's why:

Arianna basically laid out two reasons for wanting to start this website when it was first unveiled:

#1: The mainstream media have been falling down on the job of informing the public for years now. That task now lays in the hands of bloggers, and huffpo would rise to that challenge.

#2: It's high time the mainstream media were taken to task for their idiocy and chicanery. Huffpo would also rise to THAT challenge.

Sherri Shepherd-gate is the PERFECT example of this. Here we have The View, a show that purports to be about real women's perspectives about real issues, headed by a woman who purports to be dedicated to hard-hitting and honest journalism.

And they hire an absolute buffoon like Sherri Shephered?

If Arianna wants to dedicate an entire day on HuffPo to ridiculing this idiocy, I say more power to her. The more the idiocy of shows like the View and people like Barbara Walters is exposed, the better off people will be.

This is why there is no outrage that our country tortures people, has secret prisons, and has even denied habeous corpus to our own citizens. We are too distracted by stupid people filling up the 24/7 TV cycle.

Who is she? Has she won some election? Is she some great intellectual? Has she even graduated from college?
I bet the answer is no to all the above questions, so why is she even worth the ink?
Because it makes Blacks look bad!

I don't see anything wrong with hitting women back.

That's part of being treated as an equal.

Let us discount the earth flat debacle from the git go, she really blew it. Truly this woman appears to be stupid to the max....however.... Some of you feel that a woman has the right to hit a man with complete impunity. While I in no way support the notion that men should go about hitting women, I in no way support women hitting men just because they think they can. If you are in a life or death situation then anything goes but if it is a case of the many trivialities that can provoke a "slap" reaction then Bull----! IMHO If a woman chooses to employ its use without a real reason then she better get ready to be slapped and I would back any man that did it. No adult needs to hit anyone unless it is in SELF DEFENCE. On this Sherri and I agree! As to the Jesus thing, you don"t have to be able to lay out a time line to believe. I also have to agree with her corporeal punishment. I don"t condone beating a child but a spanking never hurt anyone. I have raised kids and they are not like these brats of today that are so fiercely disciplined by "time outs" . As a moderate I walk in both worlds. You can lean too far to one side and fall off!

Here is the real $64,000 dollar question: Why does HuffPo continue being connected at the hip with The View and all the mindless antics of their hosts? Did Barbara Walters and Arianna make some sort of pact? Or was it Bill Geddes (right-wingnut producer of The View), the real culprit behind the scenes? Is The View really that politically or otherwise influential? Give me a break.

Any time I think my life sucks, all I have to do is look at her or listen to her. She's fatter, uglier, and stupider. She probably makes a lot of people feel good about themselves by comparison.

She can be funny but good Lord she is dumb. She was raised as a Jehovah's Witness so what do you expect? I think Intelligent Design passed her by.

I've never seen the View, only read the above five moments of this woman and have to conclude that this kind of ignorance and the tolerance of this ignorance by producers and tx execs, enough to allow her to continue as a host, must be a factor in the present American culture of apathy, substitute gratification, and hopelessness and denial.

Is it true that she will star in the newest Jackass movie?

"The View"'s downward slide really began when Meredith Vieira left. She was intelligent and classy while still approachable. Once she left, the only respite was Rosie O'Donnell's tenure. Rosie was a completely different moderator but still engaging and well-read with the added component of being entertaining. Who can watch this show any more? It's now a complete waste of my time because Sherri Sheppard is a complete idiot and Elisabeth is an extremist right-wing nut.

Sherri does have her moments, lol. I think she was hired so they could still do hair weave segments since Star Jones is gone. Star for all her faults was a proud Democrat. Lisa Ling was my favorite along with Meredith and Joy. I believe Lisa wanted to do more important topics like Rosie but didn't have Rosie's weight to get what she wanted so she moved on. Smart girl. Whoopi has a 5 year contract and she is not going anywhere and she looks like she is a sleep on the couch most of time from doing her radio show.

I've watched Sherri Shepherd and she is an incredibly ignorant goof ball. They need to get her off of the show or continue to dumb down the conversations with the other three and Walters.
