Campaign AdWatch: McCain's 'Easy'

Days after relating how Jesus gave him solace in the form of a cross scratched in the dirt while he was the Prisoner of Azkaban, John McCain is back on the air channeling the wisdom of J.K. Rowling: "One man does what's best for America, not what's easy." Gee, thanks, Albus Dumbledore!

McCain is referring to his support for "The Surge," and, man, that must have been really hard for him, seeing as how it was basically an inevitability upon conception and how the White House was bound to spin it as the greatest military success since the Battle of Thermopylae.

And, hey, there's McCain walking with Ronald Reagan, presumably talking about their life's work of making the tough choices instead of the easy ones. You know, like the tough choice John McCain would soon make to take campaign monies from Charles Keating.
