Huckabee Warns Of "Unusual Activity of Pakistanis" Coming Into U.S.

Huckabee Border

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee says the assassination of Pakistani politician Benazir Bhutto underscores the need to secure the America's borders to prevent potential terror attacks here.

"We ought to have an immediate, very clear monitoring of our borders and particularly to make sure if there's any unusal activity of Pakistanis coming into the country. We just need to be very, very thorough in looking at every aspect of our own security internally because, again, we live in a very, very dangerous time," Huckabee said during a news conference Thursday night in West Des Moines.

Huckabee called Bhutto's death is a tragedy, but he suggested she had been a threat to Islamic fundamentalists. "An educated, sophisticated, strong, capable woman leader -- that does pose a threat to those who don't believe that women should be given that platform and that level of equality," Huckabee said.

Huckabee brushed aside the idea -- posed by rival John McCain -- that the incident highlights Huckabee's lack of foreign policy credentials compared to McCain's. "This is not a time for us to play political games with (Bhutto's death). It's a time to express our outrage as well as our sadness and sympathy for the people of Pakistan and for the rest of the world," Huckabee told reporters.

I'm much more worried about the anti-intellectual fundamentalist wing-nuts coming out of the Ozarks.

Of course we live in a very dangerous time. The Huckabee family elephant herd and the Bush Booze Brigade. Alcohol and donuts spell trouble. This is why I don't own a TV. Blithering vegetards like Huckabee with that simplistic christiany XXX porn of fear and sin.

This guy might actually be less prepared for President of the United States than G.W. was/is. He knows NOTHING on foreign policy. In fact, his ignorance of even rudimentary facts is stunning, i.e., Pakistan's eastern border with Afghanistan? Uh, hello?

There have been a number of truly embarrassing gaffes recently. And to suggest that we need to protect ourselves at the borders from Pakistanis? Yes, those Pakistani terrorists stand poised, poised I tell you, to overrun our borders.

Clearly, the one and only qualification that matters to his Evangelical supporters: is he a man of God? The rest, apparently, is irrelevant.

Ooooooooooooooooooo, scary bears. Everyone hide under all those extra boxes of duct tape. Don't let the spooky terrorists bite.

Wow, he contradicts himself within the same presentation:

"This is not a time for us to play political games with (Bhutto's death)."

"We ought to have an immediate, very clear monitoring of our borders and particularly to make sure if there's any unusual activity of Pakistanis coming into the country."

I wish the Democratic and Republican candidates would just put a moratorium on comments about Bhutto until they have something useful to say. Biden's the only one making any sense right now.

I'm so sick of being told to be afraid, but not so afraid that I stop shopping and rich store owners and stockholders feel the pinch in their wallets.

And what the fuck is this nonsense from Schmuckabee that we shouldn't play politics with Bhutto's death? The woman's body isn't even cold and he's trying to score political fear points with it. And The Dems aren't any better.

I hate this pack of jackals we have running for president.

The difference between Huckleberry, Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich?
Huckleberry is an ex- Baptist Minister, so obviously he is far above the other fringe candidates. Make no mistake, he is crazy and strange. Just a Christian. Well so are the rest as far as I know.
Have any of the others adopted the Elmer Fudd attire so he could take an innocent life for the 6:00 PM news? Would Jesus kill animals when he did not even need food?
NOT MY KIND OF CHRISTIAN!

... because only bad people would look on the end of democracy and the descent into chaos of Pakistan as anything other than business as usual.

Though, to be fair, there will probably be a certain number of Pakistanis who will blame the CIA, and they might start seeking justice.

There coming for you Huck, grab your shotgun. Thousands of yellow cabs are leaving DC heading west on the interstate, meters off.

The Reverend Huckabee is a classic example of a dangerous leader who makes use of popular prejudices and false claims and promises to gain power. Some may not have seen the danger of his proposal to corral sick or potentially sick people, taking them away from their family, friends, physicians, other health care givers, and familiar surroundings, since it was unlikely to affect them. (The Reverend's proposal, by the way, was in the 1990's and it involved by then a well-studied illness that was communicable, but not infectious). However, demagoguery has a way of fueling its own "successes", moving on to other vulnerable people. Soon, for guys like Reverend Huckabee, anyone who does not look like they came out of Deliverance is suspected of unusual activity.

"An educated, sophisticated, strong, capable woman leader -- that does pose a threat to those who don't believe that women should be given that platform and that level of equality," Huckabee said.

Sounds to me like a ringing endorsement of Hillary Clinton for President!!! Wat to go Huck!

There are a few hundred American soldiers in Pakistan as we speak. Guess what their mission is?

Training them how to combat a counter-insurgency.

Let's listen in on one of the lessons....

"Okay all of you fucking ragheads gather round. I'm Sargent Christian Infidel and I'm tasked today with teaching yous lunks how to spot an insurgent"

A rustle goes through the clutch of erstwhile Pakistani para-military anti-terrorist security force and all eyes focus on the steroid pumped head muscles of Sarge (as we'll refer to him from here. What? No. Not reefer. Refer.) and Sarge explains how, when you put your palm out to a car, flashing the universal sign for stop, and that car does not, in fact, come to a screeching halt, you spray automatic machine gun fire at ALL of the surrounding cars. Not JUST the car that was disobeying.

The young muslim men all shake their heads and murmer at the advanced forms paranoia can take in the American mercenary.
