Speculation is swirling that Susan Lyne, the CEO and president of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, may be looking to exit the company.

The clock started ticking on a one-year automatic renewable option clause as of yesterday, but the original pact that she signed in Nov. 2004 has not been replaced by a new long-term contract, according to the latest SEC filings. That agreement officially expired on Dec. 31, 2007.
