Pakistan Publishes Photo Of Severed Head Of Bhutto's 'Assassin'

The Pakistani Government today published a picture of what it said was the severed head of the suicide bomber who killed Benazir Bhutto and offered a reward of almost £83,000 to anyone able to identify him.

Amid growing criticism of the police investigation into the opposition leader's killing, two pictures featuring men believed to be involved in the Rawalpindi shooting and suicide bombing were published today in Jang, the country's biggest-selling Urdu-language daily.

As well as an image of the severed head of a clean-shaven man who police suspect to be the bomber, another image - taken in the minutes before the blast - shows a young man wearing sunglasses and a dark waistcoat staring at the camera with a man wrapped in a white shawl standing directly behind him.

Let's see...we have the head of the bomber, we have the "official story," we have the video. But something is blatantly missing here...the head, body parts or whatever was left of the guy holding the gun. He was standing next to the bomber. Where are his parts? I read somewhere that we have the gun he was holding. But that's all. Anyone read or seen any photos that show what's left of him? Just seems like a convenient omission is all I'm saying.

All media should show the photos of war and violence.
Pakistan , or Musharaff, is playing his own game and he is backed up by your American tax dollars.
If this guy had something to do with the killing it would have made rational sense would serve justice to keep him alive and have a televised trial based on evidence.

Is it that everything George Bush touches turns to sh*t or does this just prove the dangers of evangelical thought? Looking at the world through the prism of "good vs. evil" allows one to overlook the very real gray area where most of reality operates. George Bush can only see evil-doers in those who oppose him instead of people, like Benazir Bhutto, who know that to against so-called "American interest" is most likely the best route for any and all developing nations. If "American interest" consisted of propping up the middle class and the resdistribution of wealth in the countries we do business in then she and her ilk would be working toward that goal. However, "American interest" often entails finding the most convenient puppet who will bow to every imperialist whim of the US leadership and business interest.

Until we start looking at the bigger picture (and not whether or not she was shot or banged her head or had a heart attack--it's good to see that Pakistanis utilize the same bullsh*t distraction devices as the US govt and mainstream media) and understand the reasons why the US govt sees true moderate reformers in the Islamic World as a threat to "American interests", then we will always be doomed to beholden to ongoing presence in a region that is nothing but a political and religious clusterf***. And that's just the way those who drafted PNAC and their cohorts want it. The second the Islamic world acquires truly independent-thinking moderate leaders en-masse is the day that US-control over Muslim nations ends.

The severed head is meant as an identification tool, an attempt to get more information about the killer. If you don't want to see it, don't look at it. If you do want to see it--which you probably did, since you clicked this link--stop fucking complaining.

Second point of popular confusion: Musharraf had little to gain by killing Bhutto, and everything to lose. Factions that aimed to destabilize the nation to their benefit had everything to gain and nothing to lose. Do. The. Math. No more.

They should photograph and then bury the head in pig entrails. This will prevent the murderer from claiming his 72 virgins in heaven since he will be burning in hell. It would be an effective deterrent.
