Goldie Hawn

Actress Goldie Hawn says she cannot go into Aspen from her nearby ranch anymore because of aggressive paparazzi who pursue her car and stake out her home.

"They've come into our little town and they really have done their job: They've shooed us out," Hawn said.

Hawn and longtime companion Kurt Russell have been part-time Aspen-area residents for 25 years. In the past, she said, she could wander Aspen freely because the town attracted few celebrity photographers and they were discreet.

"But it ain't like the old days anymore," Hawn said.

Yawn, it's so boring to read internet posters spew the usual vile loser shit about celebrities. You may not have a life, but you have a podium. Too bad no one's listening.

News flash from a professional photographer who lived in Aspen for years: Stalkerazzi are talentless, autoflash scumbags who'll ruin anyone's life for a shot...the uglier the better. They'll ram a car, or stick their own foot under a tire, just for a quick lawsuit. They should be sprayed for like lice. Despite urban myth (fueled by cluelessness and jealously from life's benchsitters), celebs do not need the paparazzi. Pulp magazines - and losers - need the paparazzi. Stalkerazzi make a living off celebrities, not the other way around. Mags need them to fuel sales. And losers need them to feel better about themselves.

I've seen Goldie (from afar) often around their home in Muskoka (north of Toronto) when I'm vacationing there. They gave that home up for the same reason they're complaining about Aspen... after years of relative privacy, their home and the homes of other celebs were put on the boat tour circuit and it got to be a problem.

Everyone I know from the area has met them and loves them. I haven't heard anything but good stories which is rare.

I have to say, when I saw them a few years ago, they were a stunning couple. Both look as good as they ever have and they were dressed in summer grubbies at the marine gas station. Neither of them looked the least bit hollywood or botoxed.

Good god. Shut the hell up. Does Goldie Hawn really believe that we care about her trials and tribulations at her gazillion dollar home in Aspen? I hope she gets run over by a paparazzi and that video is the last we see of her. Like others said, she should be ecstatic anyone still cares about her. She has not done a film since 2002. It's over, Goldie. Flash your breasts and be thankful anybody wants to follow you around.

Is it just me, or are celebrities more retarded than they used to be?

I don't understand Goldie or her daughter Kate's celebrity at all. Neither can act, and both nauseate me. She should be glad someone still wants to take her picture, if what she is saying is true.

I lived in Aspen in the early '70's. It was considered to be a place where celebrities could go and not be bothered. I saw many celebrities when I was there. Not to drop names, but such expected people as John Denver, Buddy Hackett, Jill St. John, and Claudine Longet who lived there and others such as Cher, Diana Ross, James Aarness, Johnny Bench, Jean-Claude Killy and others. I would see them on the street or in a shop or restaurant and sometimes on the slopes. The point is, no one bothered them. There were no autograph hounds or paparazzi. It was considered rude to bother them because they were there to get away, too. It's too bad that Aspen has become like every other place where celebrities go. When I was there, it was expensive, but it was a nice place with a lot of nice people. Now it sounds like a lot of the nice is gone.

Oh, Goldie, if photographers stopped taking your photo, you'd feel insecure and probably pissed off!
You have a gorgeous home in Aspen...don't complain.

Is anybody interested in taking her photo still? Talk about a luxury problem. Paparazzi make money off photos of her in Aspen? That can't possibly cover the cost of the air fair and hotel in season.

It's the economy. When a revealing photo of a celebrity is worth six month's wages, it drives people INTO that business.

It's sickening how everything has become so comercialized until people can't even take a crap without being harassed by some dumb SOB trying to take your picture. These celeberty photographers need to get a REAL JOB! I used to love going to Aspen but now it's becoming to much of a hassle just like LA. The whole world is getting so screwed up with greed and celeberty worship until I'm more inclined to just stay home and avoid the BS.
