In a country of 300 million people, we have only 2 anti-war candidates, both of whom are being excluded from the debates, this weekend. This tells me that we need someone like Kathy Kelly to draw attention to the fact that among the so-called leading candidates, none of them support bringing the troops home NOW! Is it a coincidence that only the anti-war candidates are being excluded ? Is it just a coincidence that only the anti-war candidates are being ridiculed by the Corporate Media. First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they attack you, then you win. They are ignoring John Edwards, and ridiculing Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. . Stop The Wars . Peace Now

Theres the real problem with Obama- can't commit to a speedy return of our troops and a dismantling of our presence in the region. He too has decided to us OUR resources to protect the Oil Barons & shieks asses in the region. He continues to support a 'war' that has nothing to do with our national interest- Just the Multi Naitonal corps who've been hiding behind our flag all these decades.Isn't Blackwater and Halliburton up to the desired force yet. Our they 'little fledglings'still?
These Corps helped the Sheiks stay in power and keep all the spoils, while their citizens went hungry. The 'Religious Extremeists' (another arm of the sheiks)blame the Corporationists ('OURS')and attack them on our soil. 9/11 was not about US, it was about those who hide behind our flag. And these 'wars' are to protect them, not US

Either their hairdos weren't Christian enough or else were in violation of Iowa's public indecency laws?

Why would Obama or anyone else bring the troops home?

They have to invade Iran for Israel next:

Democratic congressman & venomous supporter of Israel, Jim Moran, in an interview with the Tikkun, a Jewish peace magazine, said US action against Iran is proposed only because it is a threat to Israel.

No one's suggested that Iran is a potential threat to the United States," he told the magazine, "any more than Iraq could ever have been a threat to the United States."

"In effect, all the same groups and individuals who were pushing for war against Iraq are pushing for war against Iran.

==== so you see the troops can't come home until they've finished dying & killing for Israel.

Cue the Zionist clowns....

Right now, the political machinery is giving us "the election show" at top volume ... propaganda is usually played at earsplitting levels. As the poll-results come back from hour to hour, they change the "mix" to get "high ratings" and talk about those "ratings" endlessly.

But the discontent cannot be drowned. The realization that our country is being devoured from within, by criminals within the highest ranks of its own government, cannot be silenced.

In 1776, were it today, we'd be hearing up-to-the-split-second stories from London presented by smiling bobbleheads ("it's in-tres-ting when people die, give us dirty laundry...") and absolutely nothing more. The courageous men and women who architected the sea-change which became this country (as it once was) would never have registered in the "ratings."

But it is because of them, not "Today In London dot com," that we have ... had? ... this country.

This is what ignorance brings - empty cans make the most noise, as they say. Obama is the only one among the top 3 Democratic contenders to have enough good judgement to vote against an illegal violent war on Iraq - which can only make one ponder what the other 2 were thinking if at all. But after years of desacration and desruction to the point that nothing but chaos and anarchy exists in what was known as Mesopotamia and then Iraq, it would be a disaster and a pox on the character of America to just walk away without cleaning up the mess they have made. There has to be culpability for this rape - which is why Obama and any other anti-war individual who still uses the brain with a touch of empathy needs to look at how to extract the violent nature of America's invasion and do the right thing for the people of the world. It can't and won't happen over night, and it will likely be harder then going in with the bombs in the first hand.

Todays Democracy Now program looked at what most voters don't, the advisors of the Presidential Candidates. When you look at the advisors of the top three candidates for each party what you see is a veritable list of who's who of warmogers, war criminals, and corporate spokesmen from Henry Kissinger to Cofer Black for the Repugs to Madelaine Albright and Wesley Clark on the Democan'ts side. There is not a single advisor for any of them that has not advocated or engineered the invasion of some country or the overthrow of some government, the kidnapping and torture of peasants and activists or has worked for some military weapons corporation. Some of these people go all the way back to Reagan.

So why is this important? Because these are the people who will become the winner's cabinet. Hillary's advisors are the very same ones who worked for her husband. These are the people who all had their dirty fingers if not their whole body in all kinds of policies that caused the deaths of civilians in numerous countries. How can a President say that they are going to change the image of America and the way that it relates to the governments and people of the world if they have no new thinkers, no new way to do things? The obvious is, they can't, worse, they won't.

Forget about political parties ladies. Vote for Ron Paul. With the stroke of a pen, he will immediately order the evacuation of our troops from the meat grinder in Iraq. Don't believe it. Look at his record.

It doesn't matter what you protest. Believe me, I have been in many protests. There is always someone ready to call you names, call you ugly, call you a traitor, threaten to hurt you, or even try to hurt you. To all of you who feel called upon to mock, ridicule, and criticize people who are protesting whatever: Fuck you.

These women have more courage than all of the bloggers and commentators taken together. An internet activist -- what a joke! All squatting before monitors and forever commenting, commenting, commenting... what gasbags! And then to make jokes of those who do act, and even insult their appearance! Cowards. Yes, I'm also a commentator... but at least I know that when it comes to making a real statement, and not more words, these women deserve our praise. If you are all heated up about ending the war, hey, off you go to make a physical protest. If you are only, er, "verbally" against the war... hell, who gives a damn. It seems that women, such as Cindy S., are the real men in this country. The guys sitting on their testicles before monitors have accomplished nothing more than to flatten their manhood.

Who really cares what these Ancient Hippies think?
I know I don't and besides that, I would automatically dismiss their message if they had a cogent one just because of their behavior.
We should have Laws that imprison such offenders until after the next Presidential Inaugeration, and released penniless from whatever remote federal facility we can find to house such Kooks!
That will put an End to such Nonsensical Theatrics!

War is wrong. We've evolved past the necessity, it's just that those who profit from it haven't. Money, money, money - and as we can see by the nature of some of the posters - beauty, beauty, beauty. Shallow people believe looks, age, and wealth are important. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but my guess is that most of you are not wealthy, aren't that handsome, and will certainly age. You shallow bunch of fucks. Quit running your mouths and get out and protest against war before you have no country to defend.
