I mean, really for most of our evolutionary history one became sexually active when one was OK with it. As it is now, some have sex when it's legal but they're obviously not ready...so what about this age thing? Are the socially aware types who condemn this as immoral simply because it violates some crazy law demanded by sex-negative christian lawmakers in the last few decades aware that they undermine the rights of individuals to live to their potential and that potential is for them to decide?
Oh, and if you think something magical happens on people's 18th birthday or something, you might want to read up on evolutionary biology or join the local religious puritans who would love to see these kinds of broad brushed laws on morality spread far and wide.
I say, give the sexually active folk in our society some slack. If it's consensual and enjoyable it's fine with me..and a step in the right direction towards a more natural attitude towards our sexuality and our individual rates of development...and our evolutionary history.
