Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, slipping further behind her chief rival in the Democratic primary here, has taken direct control over her strategy and message as she scrambles to block the ascent of Sen. Barack Obama.

With just two days to go until the New Hampshire primary, contenders in both parties blanketed the state with campaign events. On the Republican side, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) continued their war of words, with Romney seeking to remind voters about McCain's unpopular stand on immigration legislation.

BJ -- "Romney/Huckabee and we win in a landslide."

I'm proud of you, BJ. Just like your hero, you believe the same thing on Monday that you did on Thursday no matter what happened in between.

Mittens is imploding, Chief. His entire plan was to win Iow and New Hampshire so that he could build some momentum before Rudi shows up in the big states.

He did win Wyoming, but that state is hardly a good predictor of how America goes.

Mittens will be out of the race after Feb. 5. He's not going to do well in the big states, where Rudi is banking all his hopes.

As for Huck, my guess is he'll be the No. 2 man on the ticket, but not with Mittens.

As for that landslide, I assume you expect that because Americans are so happy with the direction the administration has taken them.

Got to stop thinking your boys will be running against Hillary. She's deader than day-old dogshit these days.

For those that continue to harp on Bill Clinton's infidelities please consider the strong possibility that Hillary is gay.

I write this meaning no offense. Just get of Bill's back about it for heaven's sake.

On the upside, if you're hungry for first time
stuff then how unique is electing a female homosexual?

Ready for a fairy tale?

Once upon a time in a land far far away where a wondrous lady stands holding a torch....

The were progressive Dem's who cared for the working class and fiscally responsible conservative Republicans who longed for small government.

Bwahahahahahaha.

Oh, and another good one they all believed they were leaders of the free world.

Gosh I love a good fantasy.

Way to go Drudgington post! A double Hitler pose. This is the politics of hope. As far as I can see, Obama supporters are juvenile.

Too little, too late. It was a move she should have taken long ago, but that would have required leadership. Now she is paying the price for her committee-driven campaign, just as Gore and Kerry paid. Here's another reason (besides Iraq and Iran) to not vote for Hillary: do you really want a president who says "you know" in every single sentence?

What this election has been about -- so far -- is the national media deciding on a story, Hillary vs. either Mitt or Mayor 911, and the voters rejecting that story.

Make no mistake about it. Even after Iowa, Edwards got almost no publicity from the national media. Even though Democrats win when they nominate Southerners, big media does not want Edwards.

As for Huckabee, he probably doesn't have what it takes to go the distance, but he probably deserves better coverage in NH. Especially since he might finish second ahead of Mitt.

Don't let the media write the story of this election. Nobody really was excited about Hillary as the nominee except the media and the right wing. The voters clearly aren't buying her.

Same with Mitt. He's as phony as they come.

Power to the People, Power to the People, right On!
I'm a liberal and I like Hilary, (But I'm leaning towards the others, never was in her camp). Howvere she is unelectable in a National election. She polarizes people, mostly not her fault but ours. THAT IS WHY, Rove-dog and the other conservative political pundits WANTED HER to run - WHY Rove-dog and his cronies always STATED that she was the one to beat - because they know that while the (the conservatives) have lost America, they still can defeat Hilary, but not the other Democrat candates. Why else would they and the conservative press push her to the front - The People Did Not! They also know that it will be harder to out-right STEAL an election this time.
From a year or more ago - Rove and all Conservative wanted Hilary to run, not as many liberals and democrats wanted it.
Power to the People.
Out-Smart Rove-dog NOW.
Be Right and Vote Left.
However if H is our candidate we must back her 100%, there is nothing wrong with her.

I can imagine how much pressure Clinton is under. She has been attacked by all sides unfairly. We should all know that she is a human being.

Talk about stating the obvious. Hillary has been in control of her message ever since she voted to kill young Americans and Iraqis solely for her own careerist goals against the overwhelming intelligence at the time that Saddam had no WMDs (Blix), Saddam was an enemy of al Qaeda (bin Laden regularly called him an infidel) and that there would be a calamity if the US removed Saddam (Colin Powell, Daddy Bush and even Cheney). If she takes detailed control, she'll start to sound like her former goomba -- Joe Lieberman.

Attention posters: "loose" is an adjective. One cannot "loose" an election. The verb that you;re looking for is "lose". If you don't already know this, please save me some irritation by learning it.
