Though former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has generally attributed his poor showing in New Hampshire to a campaign strategy that focuses on larger, delegate-rich states holding later contests, statistics compiled by ABC News indicate that he was clearly competing to win in the Granite State as hard -- if not harder -- than many of his rivals.

Statistics compiled by ABC News Political Unit and ABC News' team of off-air reporters indicate that Giuliani held more events in this first-in-the-nation primary state than any other Republican except for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in neighboring Massachusetts. He also spent more on TV ads than anyone except for Romney and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

In this case, if Rudy's father is dead but claims to be asleep, we will all wait till he awakes from his deep slumber!

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen,

First off, 9/11. Additionally, 9/11, tragedy, fear, and more 9/11. I firmly believe 9/11. However, even during such a horrendous time, a time such as, say, 9/11, I never once stopped leading. Not on 9/12, not on 9/13, and certainly not on 9/14. But my greatest day of leadership was, of course, 9/11.

This is why you should vote for me, America. And if it were within my power to re-schedule the election, I would schedule it smack dab on a day that has gone down in infamy, a day that touched the heartstrings of us all, a day where a lone, philandering, balding mayor of a large metropolis was somehow able to put out the fires of terrorism almost single-handedly, like some sort of super hero or something. That day was...(altogether now) 9/11!!!"
