Women in N.H. won't stand for a repeat of Iowa, and will keep the woman viable in the running.

There was a recent picture in the media with Obama and McCain shaking hands and smiling together. That is the epitome of fulfillment of the dream of Martin Luther King, Jr.

McCain is like the punch-drunk corner man from the (first) Rocky movie. He mumbles most of the time, but occasionally spouts something profound. But, unlike Burgess Meredith the actor, McCain is basically a vindictive old puke.

so I guess it's a Good vs. Evil victory for Obama.

Pelosi may unwittingly be helping Obama. Pelosi promised that if elected, she would end the Iraq war, enstead she fully funds it. With so much screwed up in Washington by the present administration, much of the electorate don't think Hillary would be effective at this time. Some other woman at some other time will have to be the first woman President.

Obama will never do anything to zionism; so useless for the rights of Palestinians.

to Sonofdy1: These threads are hard to follow, so I'll post this at the top and hope for the best.

It is good to bear in mind that many of our elected executives has been members of the Skull and Bones Society. Bush for one, Kerry for another.

It's simple logic: one cannot swear fealty to two masters, else one is a liar. Bush and Kerry (and Clinton, Gore [trilateral]) swore an allegiance to the Skull and Bones long before the swore to uphold the Constitution. To whom do you think they owe their loyalty?

It is so depressing in here lately.

I would vote for Richardson, Edwards, Clinton, et al., as they are my parties nominee. I am for Obama because I truly believe he will do what is best for this country and hopefully me.

I guess I am happily naive, but I don't believe this is a set-up. I think people need to believe in something, anything, right now, and Sen. Obama is what they and I have chosen to believe in.

If I get burnt by the 'machine' oh well, at least for a little while I had hope.

Don't hug that old sonofabitch, he's stab you in the back if he gets the nomination. He's a pre-programmed snake of the first order. No qualms about fighting dirty.

Mccain and Obama are still in play for me. Clinton is out. I think its ironic that Obama';s middle name is Hussein and he will have to deal with islamic nutcases. LOL But anyway, my major concern with all of the democrats right now is that they can't even handle fox news. If they can't handle fax, how do I know they can handle china, russia, north korea, or even iran?

And the thing about Obama somehow being "allowed to win" by the Republican Party in Iowa is ridiculous and disingenuous. So loyal card-carrying Republicans vote for a Democrat they really don't support... just for the sake of a political maneuver? Highly dubious. Who are these people anyway -- planted GOP agents disguised as regular people, or disenchanted Republicans who seem to like Obama for the promise of unity he extends? Could it be that those people are free-thinking human beings after all, who happened to vote against the party line...? Ohhh, too heavy to think about!!

Obama is not a "feel good" candidate that doesn't know what he wants. If you don't see that Obama is as bright and capable as they come -- many highly intelligent "average" people and many career politicians do -- and if you can't get past the optimistic, hopeful, responsible attitude because of your own cynicism, you need to check yourself. Mind you, you are not out there inspiring thousands to believe in a broken system again... you're just complaining 'cause it's broke.

Obama has two neocons as advisors in foreign policy-one is Dennis Ross from the WINEP group who invited Dick Cheney to speak in October 2007, and the other is Dr.Susan Rice who supports cooperating with dictators in Africa. Obama is PRO-nuclear power and has accepted $250,000 in nuclear lobby money(how hard will he push for clean technology?) the Peru free Trade agreement(more Nafta) and doesn't cover every American in his healthcare plan-I don't think we should overlook all these Republican type of policies just because he is black-shouldn't all the candidates be judged by their policies and who they listen to and choose to be their advisors?
