Obama: Clinton Took Liberties With My Statements

CNN:

Barack Obama accused Bill Clinton of twisting some of his early remarks on the Iraq war in a speech the former president gave the night before the New Hampshire vote.

"Bill Clinton was taking some liberties with my statements," Obama told CNN American Morning anchor John Roberts Wednesday, after his narrow loss to Hillary Clinton in the Granite State's Democratic primary.

Dear Obama,

The Clintons are beyond measure when it comes to dishing out sleaze in politics.

You can not sit with your head in the sand while Bill continues to lie and distort the truth.

You can not play nice-nice with the Clintons and your statement that Bill "took liberties" - well it just doesn't pack any punch.

The Clintons have adequately demonstrated that the politics of fear and slime work well.

You, my naive friend, have to come back swinging and for every hit that Slick Willie lands, you need to land two hits.

I happen to believe that an Obama-Edwards candidacy could energise the American voters who usually allow a third of the eligible voters to actually choose their leaders.

If someone actually garnered the votes never cast, that person would win an overwhelming popular and electoral vote majority.

The only "Democrats" that the New World Order tolerates is the Democratic Leadership Conference's Democrats In Name Only. These men and women are the Southern Dixiecrats who did not join the multitude into the shell of the GOP left by the African Americans who filled the Southern Democratic party.

These centrist poll-driven moderate to conservative politicians totally control the apparatus that is called the national Democratic party. True liberals are a voiceless minority within the party leadership.

If the Reich wing destroyed the word "liberal", they were enabled by the Centre Wing DINO/DLC by using the word "progressive" instead of liberal. Pelosi and Reid are there to enable the right wing agenda,

Barack Obama would be a choice anathema to the New World Order. They do not trust him. They will try to destroy him politically before the more egregious choices are made.

I think as Joe Conasen points out today, any attacks from Clinton (or John Edwards for that matter) will be tame in comparison to what the Republican Slime Machine will do to Obama if gets the nomination. Remember the Swift Boat gang? These are the same people who tried to turn Max Cleland, a triple amputee from the Viet Nam war, into...well you all remember the race. I still think (and hope) Obama becomes the nominee, but we're all kidding ourselves if we think the right will treat him "nicer" than they would treat Hillary Clinton.

I, for one am having trouble watching Bill Clinton, who I have respected as a politician become a liar. Maybe he feels he owes it to Hillary for his horrid personal behavior -- but the media should show even more clearly how he is manipulating the facts. Obama had made a correct and thoughtful statement about a vote he did not have to make -- even giving some room to those who like Hillary had mad the incorrect judgment. The thought of this guy back in the WH is too bad to contemplate.

Obama needs to show respect for President Clinton and stop calling him, "Bill" and
start calling our former President -
President Clinton. And President Bill Clinton
was 1000% correct about Obama and the statements
he made about Obama's record, statements and
actions. And it is Obama who needs to start
looking at his own "statements."
He told audiences, "there will be NO lobbyists
in MY White House," he later had to correct
that to - "Lobbyists will not DOMINATE my
White House." That's a huge correction.
And he got his ususal Media Pass - if Hillary
Clinton did that she would be attacked non-stop,
24/7. He got a pass. His campaign sent out
a memo making fun of Indians and showing no
respect for them. Again the media gave him
a pass, Hillary would have been stoned if she
did something this horrific. And it shows
Obama is not a man of the people, and wants
to bring people together - insulting Indians
shows us his true colors.
