The woman whose empathetic question -- "how do you do it?" -- sparked uncharacteristic emotion Monday from Sen. Hillary Clinton ended up voting for Sen. Barack Obama in the New Hampshire primary.

Marianne Pernold Young, 64, a freelance photographer from Portsmouth, N.H., told ABC News that while she was moved by Clinton's emotional moment, she was turned off by how quickly the New York senator regained her "political posture."

"I went to see Hillary. I was undecided and I was moved by her response to me," Pernold Young said in a telephone interview with ABC News. "We saw ten seconds of Hillary, the caring woman."

"But then when she turned away from me, I noticed that she stiffened up and took on that political posture again," she said. "And the woman that I noticed for ten seconds was gone."

People want to see the humanity in other people; that is what we saw in Hillary Clinton. To say that she showed her woman side and then her political side is ridiculous. You might as well just say that the two can't be together. If you are that stupid then you shouldn't vote at all. Voting for the wrong reasons is, of course, wrong. Voting without a sense of reality should be illegal. I wouldn't vote for hillary because she cried. Obama can only show that he is excited about change. Who isn't excited about change? Give me a break. If we elect Obama we are making the whitehouse an internship program for the people who catch the attention of those of us with adhd. You should pay attention to everything someone does and everything someone believes in. You should never just listen to their message of 'hope' and 'change.' Give me a break and wake the fuck up people.

You know I have read just about all the comments above regarding Hillary and her "emotions" when she cried. I am woman hear me roar and I hear other women roar but for all the wrong reasons. You vote for her because she is a woman and she cries, what if Obama or any of the other men were to cry? would you vote for him because of his"emotions" or would you sneer because he is a man. Listen to their words and I do and I hear Clinton for what she is...power hungry and her husband standing right behind her wanting some of his old power back.

My only thoughts have been so what if Clinton gets elected, is she gonna get so tired one day from being President that she cries when we are attacked by other countries (and we are); does she stand before Bin Ladin and show her "emotions". If she wants to be President show me the Jackie Kennedy in all of us; show me her respect for our country not just a bunch of words.

I have heard Obama and I read his book long ago...and I question? What great "experience" does HIllary have as being President over what experience Obama or any other candidate have. None of them have the experience yet as leader of this country. Only after election will we know what kind of experience they gain, not before.

I am woman hear me roar and when it comes time I will vote for Obama, not Hillary carrying all the past baggage of Bush and spending time trying to correct what he did. Change with Obama means his total interest in what he means and says.

Go vote women, but listen to what you are voting for. I personally don't want a crybaby in the whitehouse.

I just saw this woman on Keith Olbermann's program, and she didn't say what is reported here at all. She said that Hillary was very sincere in her response and that she was taken by her. But then later she saw Obama and he impressed her so much also, and that's why she voted for him. These aren't her exact words, but that's the drift of what she said -- not that Hillary turned away, etc.

How about some truth here?

The Clinton camp won because of the Democratic Political machine of Jean Shaheen. They out hustled Obama and they got out their vote. The establishment Democratic Party machine, the party of John Kerry, won yesterday in NH.

only the Hillary plants say she "showed her emotions."

watch the video. it was an inappropriate display of emotionality, like her inappropriate laughter. that is not the same as "showing your emotions."

her emotional disconnect actually shows Bush-like sociopathic tendencies and egomania.

it's unbelievable this actually helped her. apparently some people are just fucking stupid. too bad for her she can't pull this crap again.

There are PLENTY of times that I choke up and hold my tears back and if all, I am tagged as "courageous" WHY has this incident been such an issue. SHE WAS NOT MY FIRST CHOICE, but, pleezzee....i DO not LIKE HILLARY, BUT she HAS passed a lot of laws/bills for children and people with disabilities.

PEOPLE ARE SUCH IDIOTS...

It sounds to me from the woman's description like Hillary had a genuine emotional moment and then regained her self-control. People in public life are REQUIRED to exhibit a great deal more self-control in their public personas than most of us might in similar situations. Please tell me, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THAT. And speaking of bitches (we weren't), the woman who asked the question bears an unsettling resemblance to Barbara Bitch--oops, I mean Barbara Bush (Sr., that is). I WASN'T a Hillary fan but if anything might turn me into one it would be reactions like this woman's....

Mr's Hillary Clinton cries her way to victory in New Hamshire by 3% with an emotional connection to older women winning there vote by 67%. Mr Obama Must now figure a way to combat Tears if he is going to be the Democrat Nominee for President .

Ya know, it's the hateful bickering and name calling that's been going on in these comment threads that has me voting for Obama.

Look, I don't hate Hillery, I think she'd make a fine president and I'll gladly vote for her if she's nominated. But, I do find her polerizing, and the things she keeps saying she has been fighting against all these years, are actually worse. So how is this bringing about change?

The middle class is on it's knees because of corp greed. Her husbands free trade polices helped get us there. this is not opinion. This is fact. Her vote for the war and her insistance that it was not a mistake. Her vote for the Kyle/Lieberman amendment. All these things are reasons not to vote for her, but it's no reason to call me a name. Agreed?

She says she fought for us and will continue to fight. Well, maybe I'm tired of all the fighting, and want someone who will bring us all together if given the chance. I think it's Obama.

So go ahead and disagree, it's your right. But, don't call me names or make unfounded accusations about my candidate just because you heard it somewhere. Let's have a dignified debate.

I am one who care less what the media has to say. I do not listen to (or buy into) mainstream news, especially Faux News. Yet, my take on Hillary Clinton tends to align with those who see through the masquerade HRC has been cowardly hiding under. Again and again, the fact that Hillary has been in bed with George W. Bush makes it very nauseating for me to even thinking of casting half of a vote for her.
