Hillary Supporter Cuomo: Obama Tried To "Shuck And Jive" With Media

The Hillary campaign might have their own surrogate with foot-in-mouth syndrome who they'll have to deal with. During an appearance yesterday on talk radio -- at almost the same time as Obama co-chair Jesse Jackson Jr. questioned Hillary's tears -- New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo used some words about Barack Obama that have a very troublesome racial history.

"It's not a TV crazed race. Frankly you can't buy your way into it," Cuomo said, according to Albany Times Union reporter Rick Karlin. "You can't shuck and jive at a press conference," he added. "All those moves you can make with the press don't work when you're in someone's living room."

The phrase "shuck and jive" refers to mischievous blacks behaving innocently in the presence of an authority figure, so as to lie and get out of trouble.

This is nuts. It's why I quit Barack's campaign and went with John's--and that's when I learned why I did the right thing:
1. The ONLY candidate talking about taking home 40,000 troops immediately and the rest within a year from eye-rack.
2. the ONLY candidate talking about universal health care--what the hell is 'access' anyway?
3. His grandmama would have had to fly to hawaii on break from the mill to beg Obama's grandmama for a loan.
4. Edwards has been vetted--what's the media gonna find when Obama gets REALLY looked at after the nomination--I mean Emil Jones? Give me a break. William Jefferson, anyone?

Racism is as American as Apple Pie. However for New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo to make such disparaging comments should offend every non-racist American. I'm not stunned he thinks like this ... just shocked (and disappointed) he's comfortable enough to openly express such generalizations with racial overtones.

How do we expect the general public to not make race and/or gender the all important issues when our government leaders conduct themselves so poorly.

Cuomo needs to publicly apologize for this slip of tongue.
