All religions sound like this to me:

"I salute you, Vazdar! Make me strong. I am one of the good ones. Save the people who are not as enlightened as I am, or kill them. Thank you. Here is my paycheck."

Why do religions always ask people for money? If a spiritual movement is real, it requires no money. Hence, all such movements are bogus.

They told Tom the tech would make him as tall as Chuck Noriss!

Xenu, please send the mothership for Tiny Tom. Make him the intergalactic gay warlord please and take him away from earth. His work is too big for the earthlings to understand (as well as his word salad).

Um, why are they saluting? You always kind of wondered what Cruise's problem was, and now, you know...

I"m no Tom Cruise fan but I did admire his performance as the creepy guru in the 1999 film Magnolia. Now I see I was giving him too much credit. He was playing himself!

On one hand I find Scientology a crazy cult. On the other hand I've got to admit that at least their followers don't car bomb innocent civilians, kidnap journalists or cut the heads off of infidels. Compared to certain religions Scientology is harmless.

Either Scientology has no height requirement or Tom got in on a waiver.

I don't see any fundamental difference between Scientology and other religions. They all claim to know things that cannot be proved.

I detest all religions, but you don't see any other religion set up a "celebrity center" especially catering to the rich and famous. Scientology is becoming so powerful that these actors are either joining it for connections or because they can't act and need to learn how to make an ashtray fly.

Tom Cruise is a not very bright man who operates on instinct. It serves him fairly well as a movie actor, but not very well otherwise (women, religion, public behavior.) Scientology thrives on people like him - the fact that he made it big in Hollywood is why they flatter and stroke him. It's pretty pathetic all the way around, but I think the video is a good thing if it can keep some poor vulnerable soul out of their clutches.

Year ago I used to let them stop me in front of their headquarters in PDX and give me the speil - then I'd say, no thanks , but I hope someone avoided your propaganda while you wasted your time on me.

Obviously, Tom "Cruise" Mapother doesn't work well without a script. The last time I heard such an inarticulate bunch of repetitive nonsense was the last time George W. Bush gave a press conference.

in this video, the set looks like something from the first James Bond movies.
In SF and Marin County I met two kinds od scientology people.
1. Fervent believers
2. Former believers who were in legal battles to recover funds they allowed scientology to control.
In one case the amount was $300,000+. Now these were bored trust-funders yuppies and they still wern't broke, but they did wake up.
scientology appeals to ambitious/ayn rand types.

I'm not one to down play anyones religion, but this stuff is just to much.

How any rational thinking person can believe any of this Scientology Dribble is beyond men L. Ron was a kook who dies as mad as a hatter.

I've talked about this before and done some more research only to find that L' Ron was not against religion, but to find instead that he was a nut that created a religion to amass a grand fortune. His followers are brainwashed through either A) hypnotism or B) LSD. Because there is no other explanation how some one can believe this crap. The way to enlightenment depends on how much you are willing to spend. Their profit L. Ron talks about the powers of the mind yet he could not save himself nor his son. L. Ron was a huckster who swindled people out of their life savings.

Scientology is a dangerous cult.
